This is the second time I've used Home Shield Inspections. Based on that previous experience, I requested Scott again.
He is always friendly and professional in all my interactions with him, including follow-up correspondence and calls.
It was easy to schedule inspections. He arrives promptly and lets me know if he has any delays.
He is willing to answer questions during the inspection and is available to answer further questions or clarify his findings after the report is issued.
He was prompt with producing the reports. The reports are detailed but easy to follow and easy to reference.
I would highly recommend Home Shield Inspections, Scott in particular.
Update:9/25/23
After some frustrating research on the internet, I was unable to identify a house drain pipe. I decided to contact Scott.
Scott quickly identified the pipe and answered my follow-up questions. He confirmed that all seemed to be in working order. It goes to show, that the information may be available but finding the right answer for your situation is another issue.
This help was outside the scope of the home inspection he performed a year ago. This kind of customer care tells me that Scott is more concerned with strong customer relationships rather than just making a quick buck. Scott gets my return business and recommendation for his combination of expertise and work ethic.

I would like to thank you for your detail inspection 9 January 2023. I understood everything in the report thanks to you visually pointing these things out after your inspection. I greatly appreciated knowing exactly what is wrong and how to identify the problems and solutions. The house was advertised with double pane windows, and it was professionally renovated, but Scott's attention to detail proved the windows were single pane and the kitchen cabinet handles were not even, bathroom faucets installed incorrectly and numerous other unprofessional renovations. I would highly recommend you to others because of your professional and dedication to your job and your clients. Job well done Scott!
On 6 March 2023 Scott conducted my second home inspection and he prevented my from purchasing a house with asbestos. It was extremely hard for me to believe you can sell a house in Nevada with asbestos. His education on asbestos houses was very informative. Scott's knowledge and dedication for his client's health and future asbestos concerns led me from older houses and taught me how determine which houses would have potential asbestos problems. I will always be grateful for his knowledge and dedication. Again, job well done Scott!
On 30 March 2023 Scott inspected my "Forever Home." The home was a gigantic improvement from the previous inspections. The major problem was the A/C. Scott performed two inspections on the A/C because the homeowners would not do their job. I guess the homeowners finally got tired of Scott's rejecting their repairs and had an completed inspection of the A/C. When Scott was happy I was happy.
This was the sixth house I have purchased and Scott was the best inspector I have ever dealt with. When he was needed at the last minute he made time and I definitely appreciated his prompt response. His prices were very reasonable and because I was a reoccurring client he gave me a discount on my "Forever Home" and the re inspections were free. I will always be grateful Scott and if you want to know the truth about your home please consider Scott because he will take care of you and your future investment.

Scott did a very thorough and professional home inspection for us. His methodical approach covered the inspection of all the segments of our home and his comprehensive discussion with us and follow-up report at the completion of the inspection ensured that every detail was addressed. We hired Scott to inspect a house we were planning on purchasing. Everything looked good when we visited ourselves. We were surprised to see all of the issues that came up after the inspection. It was all things that we would’ve never noticed ourselves and could have ran into issues down the road if we bought the house. Scott was very thorough and left no stone unturned. I’d recommend using this company for the ultimate piece of mind before you purchase a home.

Scott is nothing short of a consummate professional. He walked my wife and I through the inspection quickly and explained all of our questions fully. his report was well written, organized and broken down into easy sections. if I could give him more than 5 stars I would.

Scott was available promptly when we needed a home inspection done. Contacted him and a day later he was out inspecting the property. Did a thorough walk through and pointed out all the things we should know about. We were able to take that to the seller and got a little kick back, so that’s always great! Scott was on time, professional, and would definitely go through him again. Highly recommend!

Scott performed an inspection of our new house about 4 months from the expiration of our warranty and was able to test systems (HVAC and plumbing) and check out areas that we weren't able to check such as the attic and roof. He patiently answered questions during the inspection and he generated a detailed report outlining his findings which I was able to review with the builder. Scott also was responsive to later requests (one months later) for extra pictures and video that he took. We're very pleased with the assurances we got as a result of his inspection.
