Currently we are in the process of purchasing a home, so I had to hire someone fast for inspection.
Gordy was very engaging and explained everything that we questioned.
Additionally, the report that Gordy composed was extremely impactful. The report included photos which I was really happy to have.
In fact, the report was so thorough, it gave us bargaining power with the purchase of our new home. Gordy is truly a master of his trade!
Over the past 6 years I’ve benefitted from Gordy’s inspection services on 3 separate occasions. He is prompt, thorough, competent and professional. Recently, he spotted serious, hard to find issues in a property that would have cost us thousands to address. I will recommend him to anyone I know who is considering buying a property in the greater Las Vegas metro area!

This is the third time we ask Gordy for his services. Gordy responded quickly and was able to book our inspection within 48 hours. He is very knowledgeable and took the time to explain the few issues he found in our soon to be house. Very nice gentleman, overall our experience was seamless!

Gordy was very thorough and presented the minor issues found with the house in a very easy to understand manner. I felt that he took the time to inspect every aspect of my new home and offered valuable insight into what may or may not come up in the future.

Advanced Home Inspections is great and Gordy really knows what he is doing. Rather than looking for someone with a license, pick Gordy who has a license and experience as a builder. He not only knows all of the things he's supposed to look for; but he also *understands* them! He does a great job being thorough and complete and knows how to explain his reports to buyers so they don't "freak" out!

Gordy saved us. We are buying a new home and while an inspection isn't required for new properties we hired Gordy (owner and operator) anyway. Thanks to his IR camera he was able to detect a large portion of the upstairs did not have any insulation and in a couple of other spots the insulation was blown away. Additionally, he was able to expedite his report to get those findings to the builder in a matter of hours!
Without a doubt Gordy is a great inspector and would happy recommend him and his IR camera to any friend.

I have had several clients use Advanced Home Inspections and all have had great responses. One client, due to his use of his Infrared inspections; we found a water leak in a wall and was able to negotiate a reduction of $20,000 in the purchase price to allow the Buyer to completely re plumb the entire house. Gordy is on my short list of vendors that I highly recommend.

I'd just made an offer on my first home, but felt plenty nervous about the fact I wasn't going to be able to make the home inspection. Just about everybody says how important it is to go to the inspection.
Based on Yelp reviews and recommendations, I shortlisted a few home inspectors to contact. The moment we spoke with Gordy on the phone, I started feeling MUCH better about not being there.
Gordy sounded very knowledgeable, and knowing we were from out of town, proceeded to explain the types of common problems to expect in Las Vegas homes, and what we should be looking out for. He answered every question we asked, and suggested since we were out of town that he would be willing to call us immediately after the inspection to let us know what was up with the house, PLUS that he would be willing to COME BACK once we were in town again to show us how to properly maintain the house and point out what was wrong.
I was sold.
We scheduled the appointment as soon as we were sure the utilities would be on, and true to his word, Gordy arrived at the house (early) and called us right afterwards. We got the full walk through, followed by an extremely detailed written report with lots of photos highlighting every issue. I came away feeling like Gordy left no stone unturned. Not only that, but Gordy called us back AGAIN after the report to make sure we understood it and to check if we had questions.
Overall, a fantastic experience. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Gordy and would use him in any future home inspection!

Gordy was the best! From the very first phone call I felt at ease and knew I was going with the right home inspector. My husband and I are first time home buyers and wanted to make sure we picked the best inspector in Las Vegas (We didn't want to be the next horrible story on Holmes on Homes). I truly believe Gordy is best in Vegas! He went through the house very thoroughly and pointed out EVERYTHING. He not only inspected the house for any issues but educated my husband and I on how to properly take care of it. Once the inspection is complete, he does a full walk through with you to make sure you fully understand everything that will be in the report. The report came over promptly the next day and was told if we had any questions about the report or any questions about the house in general to give him a shout. Thanks for everything Gordy!
