This is my second time using Intense Movers in the NYC area. First was from West Village to Flatiron, and the second from Flatiron to Jersey City.
Intense is extremely responsive to email messages, and they are very good about keeping up with the inventory list and pricing. They are very transparent on pricing as well, and are better than majority of competitors out there on price. They had no issue completing required COIs.
The movers were fantastic. Highly recommend Ozzy, Frankie and Tim. It was a hot day and lots of stuff to move, but the guys kept a great attitude, worked extremely hard, and were honest and checked with us if they needed our input on anything. They wrapped up everything safely and securely, such that there was no damage to any of the inventory.
I would highly recommend Intense Movers for your moving needs.
I recently used Intense Movers for my move and worked with Ty and Hansel. They were hands down amazing to work with! Efficient, helpful, and friendly! They went above and beyond to ensure we were able to get everything packed up and transported to our destination. I would not hesitate to use Intense Movers again!

Intense movers is 10/10! My family has used this company at least 10x now, moving us all over Brooklyn, LI, Queens, and even the Hudson Valley once… houses, elevator buildings, walk ups… Always on time, very reasonable flat rate pricing, and they consistently do a good job. This was our first time moving things into a storage unit, and the movers really took their time to make sure things fit and were secure. Thanks for consistently great service!

I had such a great experience with Ozzy and his team! They were efficient, prepared, professional, and friendly. It was my first time using movers and it was a very positive experience for me.
I also think that having all aspects of the move clearly discussed via email prior to the move was a great strategy as I knew exactly how to prepare my inventory for the best possible moving experience for everyone involved.
I would not hesitate to recommend Intense Movers to others, and would use you again!

These guys are awesome. They moved all my things from a pod on the street into a 2 story brownstone in Clinton Hill. Their communication was exceptional. They arrived when they said they would. They unloaded my belongings with care in half the time my movers packed my belonging. I also found their pricing cheaper than several other companies I spoke with including piece of cake, sweet Lou’s, dynos and others. They were also very flexible with my scheduled move time as I had to change my date within 72 hours. I’d recommend them to anyone and while I hope to not move soon if I do I’ll know who to call. Especially a big thanks to Izzy and his brother! I appreciate you both!

I have moved with Intense Movers for the past 2 years, in 2022 and 2023. I have had bad experiences both times. In 2023 one of the movers started yelling at me and I ended my night in tears :( plus they mishandled my things.
In 2022, the movers arrived 1.5 hours late and immediately upon arriving began berating me about extra stuff. To be fair to them, I did have some extra, I was new to doing the inventory list they requested and had overlooked items I didn’t think of like trash can, shower rack, dish rack etc, but had included all my big furniture, boxes, and clothes.
I felt bad for these movers as they were clearly tired. But my empathy dried up quickly as one guy proceeded to complain for the next 2 hours EVERY TIME he saw me we didn’t finish till almost 10pm. Breaks are fine but like cmon man.
I tried to put everything in easily manageable boxes and bags for the movers (THIS IS IMPORTANT CONTEXT FOR MY 2023 MOVE) I was reprimanded by one of the movers for this, and he said I should never because it’s all about number of trips up and down the stairs. Ok, my bad.
The move the next morning was seamless, the guys seemed refreshed, I paid the “extra inventory” fee. Nothing was broken and while the experience itself wasn’t outstanding, I appreciated that my stuff was all in one piece.
So I booked again in August 2023. This move was SO BAD.
This year I had really refined my inventory plus packed almost everything into 5-6 large boxes like the mover had told me last year.
They arrived 2 hours late and immediately started trying to find “extra stuff” and accusing me. I was so confused by this horrible energy when I was really doing my best. PLUS, I started to HELP THEM move all my boxes because we were going way too slow, so I was carrying my items to the truck with them while one of them complaining about how heavy my boxes were. He also complained about the company exhausting them.
This guy actually started to get mad at me, and slammed my box on the ground and pulled me aside to tell me I should NEVER pack boxes this heavy and I was crazy for packing everything in large boxes as opposed to splitting it into small medium boxes. I told him what the mover from Intense Movers told me last year and he told me “no one would have ever said that.” Okay…
This man was starting to get more aggressive . They told me they were done BEFORE THE LAST OF MY STUFF WAS DONE BEING MOVED. So I moved the last of my stuff, including my plants, down from my apartment to the truck where this man proceeded to tell me my plants were a “liability” and they decided they’re not taking them. I told them this was part of my move and they needed to move everything, and the aggressive guy started to yell and me and TAKE MY STUFF OUT OF THE TRUCK and throw it back on the sidewalk. (I also have a video of him screaming at me in case anyone tries to say this is fake).
I started crying because my lease was already up and I didn’t know what I would do with my things and I was so exhausted and desperate, I begged them to take it and finally they did.
The next morning was a nightmare. These guys were slamming my boxes on the ground like it was weights in the gym. They actually refused to move several of my boxes and made my boyfriend (the actual man of the group) do it, and he reassured me my boxes really weren’t that heavy. He took them up the stairs with ease.
The movers proceeded to tear off my plastic mattress protector (??) and drag my bare mattress through the street and garbage area and then up the stairs making it completely dirtied. This literally had me on the verge of tears again. They broke 4 wine glasses, 2 plates, and a picture frame.
I never said anything because I don’t want their money, but I am writing this review to save other people (especially young women) from having the same experience. Their behavior was unacceptable. It really was horrible and showed me the worst of moving in NYC.
Clearly, I will not be moving with them again.

Intense movers is the BEST! I have used them three times now, twice within Manhattan and today from the city to Westchester. Every time they are so communicative, beyond fairly priced, on time, and always so nice and helpful!
Today we had Eric and Rob as our movers as they were so efficient, careful with our things, and so happy to help. If they will handle our next move one day in Westchester i would only look to hire them again. Truly the best!
