had an a couple estimates from other painting companies and certa pro was A LOT cheaper!! but then you think why such a gap tho..? what are they not doing vs other company? i took a chance on them and im really glad i did! they do great work. they were organized on time they cleaned up after themselves and do a great job all around. bottom line is i am 100% satisfied and am planning to call them for another job few weeks.
Update 7/2/2024: They're repainting the house. The analysis they had completed from Sherwin Williams basically said that a failure to remove the paint to clean wood (meaning, no scraping or sanding of the paint) resulted in the chipping. Again, getting somebody to get back to me in a semi-timely fashion has been an adventure. But they're trying to do right with the situation. And I will update accordingly.
ETA: Certa has been in touch, and I'll update if/once the situation has been rectified. I will stand by my previous statement that trying to get the painting scheduled and done initially was a cluster. I also stand by my statement that getting in touch with somebody is next to impossible, but they're at least trying to fix the situation.
Incredibly disappointed. When we had our house painted, it was the most annoying process I've experienced in a while. The initial process of estimates, picking colors, etc. was not bad. But then it came time to scheduling. It took an exceptionally long time to get a live person to call me back (something like 4-6 weeks). Finally get the painting scheduled, take off of work, and nothing. And I mean nothing. Nobody shows up nobody calls. Nothing. So I say "ok, they got behind... They'll come tomorrow." I go to work, and leave the gate open so they can get where they need to. Nothing again. So I call. Leave a message. Nothing. The next week I finally get in touch with somebody, and, well, long story short, the painters overbooked themselves. Did I mention that at this point the window to have the painting done that year is rapidly approaching? After probably another 2 weeks, I have painters come out and the house is painted. And the job looks pretty good.
Until this past year. I noticed the paint starting to peel and chip. I call, can't get through. Call again. Same thing. CALL AGAIN and manage to leave a message with their answering service. "The manager will call you back when he's in next week." TWO MONTHS LATER I say "hey, I never heard back. Let me follow through." Can't get through. Call again, same thing. CALL AGAIN and get that wonderful "you called a fax number" tone. Give up for another month. Finally call back because I'm back in town. "Oh, your warranty was up in August. Sorry. If you buy a gallon or two of paint we'll cover the labor" Um, so first, I've been trying to get in touch with you FOR MONTHS. Second, why would I deal with you when getting it painted the first time was such a cluster? And third, why would I buy the supplies to have you do the job again WHEN YOU DIDN'T DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME?!?! And the fact that you think a gallon or two is going to cover the repairs makes me think you plan on just patching the obvious problems. Which won't deal with the continued chipping paint in the next 6 months.
Seriously, save yourself the headache. Spend the extra money. Have an actual professional do it. One that actually will stand behind their work. You get what you pay for. And with Certa, you don't get much

CertaPro Painters were very professional from the time I received my quote until the job was finished. They were on time for scheduled appointments and reminders for my scheduled job date.
I was very pleased with their work. The painters were courteous and helpful. This is the second time I have used them and I would definitely use them again.

This is the second time we have used CertaPro and both times they have done an excellent job. The second time we had 2 estimates and CertaPro was half the cost. No spilled paint and the bedroom was put back in order, curtains hung and pictures also. Highly recommend.

Best price and in the end the job was done satisfactorily. Beware job was subcontracted and language barrier created some problems. I had 2 colors and specifically and carefully listed which color went where in writing. Not super complex, basically dark color on brick and lighter on siding. When it came to trim, there were 3 separate errors where they put the wrong color. I pointed it out and they had to repaint at their expense. First guy that power washed did a poor job so they redid. Fortunately I was home one day when they did one coat and started untaping the windows. Contract said 2 coats, so they retaped everything and did second coat. At the end I inspected the entire house and tagged everywhere that needed touch up with blue painters tape. Good news is that they came back for touch up, etc and didn’t ask for a dime until I was satisfied so end result was fine. Bad news you have to watch and speak up if something is not to your satisfaction. Overall awesome update as home was white siding and orangey brick. Now a modern twist with moody colors. Many compliments

We had nearly the whole interior of our home painted. The crew did an excellent job. They were personable and answered all my questions. They cleaned up each evening and arrived when they said they would each morning. Highly recommend Certapro!

The painting team of CertaPro Painters of Chagrin Falls, OH did a very nice job of exterior painting of our home / garage trim, and doors. They were both polite and professional. Before leaving, they cleaned up the work area to our satisfaction.

I needed the exterior of my home painted and this company delivered! My house is rather tall, which is what deterred me from doing it myself, but it was no challenge for this team. The whole job was done very quickly. They were open to working with you to check to make sure here wasn't anything missed or in need of a touch up. I am please with the overall experience from the start, with fast response time, online ease-of-pay and how friendly everyone was. I will be using this company for future projects.
