Honestly really sad to see what this company has turned into. Guys used to be proud to work here, it used to be something meaningful. I was a 3rd generation employee splitting time between 2 branches Pitt & Charleston, and it was a company that used to mean alot to me. I understand this review will probably get me blacklisted but I hope to God that it creates some self reflection and awareness and this company returns to that of the glory days. My time in both branches was great as far as employees go. Management not so much, Pittsburgh was awesome under Bob and Jason both are great guys and the growth and company are important to both of these men. Both guys would talk to you and treat you as an equal, we'd have a safety meeting every Friday, they weren't afraid to meet with customers etc, it was a very good culture and felt like family. In Charleston Rich would come in walk by all of us and rarely speak unless spoken to and go to his office and sit there until lunch then leave and back right to the office. The only customer I believe he ever met with was ZPMC. I don't feel he had the branch or employees best interests in mind, a terrible leader and people person and honestly does not deserve the job he has. I was forced to work and refused medical treatment after getting injured on the job because "we can't afford it". A quote by someone who knows Rich and the situation "He should go back to Gary Indiana and play with his **** cause that's all he's good for". It's truly sad to see what you guys did to the Charleston yard and the great people who work here. I understand it may not of been profitable but you ever think of coming down and seeing why it wasn't profitable? You realize Charleston is one of the largest growing cities with many other crane companies that are all profitable and busy? You realize maxim drives 2 hours into Charleston to do jobs 15 minutes from the yard? You realize Rich hired a salesman and dispatcher with 0 crane experience? I'll bet you can go and look at the numbers fall off after Scott (sales) and Logan quit cause it was actually good under them. You had so many other options before ever closing down this yard. I hope that this somehow gets to the right person because this yard has the potential to be great and be a gold mine if there's any hope in reopening it in the future. You guys are making a big mistake. This company still is an important part of my life and professional career, I'd be open to discussing anything with whoever reads this if there's anything I can help with. I no longer work for the company so this isn't some disgruntled employee rant but it still is very sad to see. I'll be making sure my employer rents from Maxim from this point forward.

The most unintelligent truck drivers I've ever had the misfortune of meeting.
