I love my new fence, gates and planter box built by Johnney and Noel. They were very professional, checking with me on the details to insure the final work met my needs. Everyone I dealt with at Handyman Plus was great to work with.
They get their job done no problem. But like other reviews mentioned, their quote is crazy. My fixes are all small (screwing things up, changing a part of toilet and faucet, sealing things up with silicon), except for one lock change and a roller change (of slide door). Some of the small fixes we did it ourselves already so roughly knew the price. They quote $860, the technician shared that roller are usually expensive over $500…
On the day itself, they realized the roller doesn’t need to change, but another lock needs changing instead of repair. And they said the price should be the same still $860. Then I googled and realized so much of the quotes are inflated, because lock and roller are not over $100. When I confront them, they just said that different locks different rollers different price.
I did not do my research beforehand (need quick fix and hand over the house) so may need to pay the price. But the company is quote more than doubled the market price, and for those interested in booking their service, do consider if this inflated price is needed for the fixes.

We hired HMP for two small projects so far and have been very satisfied with the work. One project was repair work to a an exterior corner wall that had dry rot. The second project was repainting a long concrete & cement block retaining wall. We were surprised at the pricing of both projects but have discovered over the last 2-3 years that all contractor/subcontractor and other trades pricing in general has gotten very high (inflation???). In fairness to HMP, one estimate and one bid were a bit lower at the conclusion of each project. The standout feature to us of HMP was the office manager Ginny. She was super efficient and followed up on everything we asked about. I would and have already recommended HMP to a friend and to a neighbor.

We are thrilled with the projects completed by Handyman Plus Services. They were able to take our concepts for a complicated outdoor space with an existing 12-foot retaining wall and bring our visions to life. (It's going to look amazing once we get all the plants and furniture in!) We highly recommend Handyman Plus for your projects, big or small!

I ended up not using them, but I felt I needed to share my experience none the less. I hate doing negative reviews but the dollar amount for this quote is crazy.
I had a new bathroom fan installed in my Master Bath, but the exhaust for the new fan had a larger dimeter than the existing duct work sending the air outside. (It should be noted that the duct did go outside already and had extra flexible length, it was not just vented into the attic so no work was needed for any of that.)
They were professional when I talked to them and they were able to come get the info for an estimate very quickly. They were not the first company I had come do an estimate and it was a job I could do myself if needed. With a Masters in Engineering, I usually act more ignorant of the job than I really know; so if needed they have more than enough rope to hang themselves as the saying goes. Their quote was more than double of any other professional quote I received for the job and was for a skilled assistant level; even if you take into account a minimum 1 hour charge this was extremely high.
I ended up doing the job myself because of scheduling conflicts and it took me ~30 minutes total to fix to include setting up the ladder and going to the attic to the vent in the back of the house. Parts needed (see attached picture: the size reducer and a new roll of thermal tape) cost me ~$20. Even taking into account the +/- 20% variable listed in the quote, the job would have cost almost $300 still. I understand they are in Ashland and I am in Central Point, but travel time should be within their 30 minute drive as stated on their website. If it isn't and that is why the rate is so high, then that should be a line-item on the quote. (I will mention that not once did they ever say I would have to pay for travel time when I spoke with them, I only bring it up because I have been trying to find some way to validate their price in my head.)
