I have had ADT for going on 4 years now. In the beginning, the techs lied to me about a few things, and they did a shoddy job of putting up my stuff, which with my complaint, got them fired. However, every time I have needed an ambulance, or the police or fire, they have been right on it. When my oven got to hot and smoke was coming from it from some lasagna that had dripped down on to the oven coils, they called me ASAP and sent the Fire and rescue. ADT is a Wonderful company and they have been around for 150 years. I am very Pleased and very happy with my ADT.
They said a tech was 20 minutes away to find out they were actually 4 hours away. I'm constantly getting calls in middle of the night for false alarms. Never buy them

Canceled service after my father's death. They continued to bill for an additional 6 mos and would not reverse the charges. I would give zero stars if I could.

If I could give a negative star review I would. We signed up for ADT security when we bought our new house and it has been nothing but trouble ever since. The equipment regularly breaks and needs to be replaced leaving gaps in security or causing strange electrical disturbances out of nowhere. Like a doorbell that rings every 15 minutes after dark. I kid you not. The customer service is fine until you talk to management, then they quickly become hostile and unhelpful. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your money.

I tried to set up a home ADT system, with monitoring services, only to discover that really, what they shipped me was a bunch of Nest Cameras (which I declined when speaking to sales) and some door sensors. Now that I'm trying to cancel, I've been hung up on and given the option to have a rep call me back, but nobody has called me back. The 3M command strips do not stick to vinyl windows, metal doors, or wooden door frames. The single screw per sensor and plastic anchor will not drive into my metal frame doors (nor am I about to try them), and literally the first time I opened the door, the magnet strength ripped the command strips off each door.
If I'd wanted to use Google Nest, I would have ordered through Google. ADT didn't even send the sign that is supposed to be required for monitored addresses - that's sold separately.
