*Beware of defective Hunter Douglas Blinds* Would be 4 stars if directions to call me before a repair was made were followed. They just blamed H.D. for not calling. “They were supposed to call” okay? We didn't give permission to just fix it and give us a bill. We made it clear to call us before they went ahead with a $105 repair of our defective Hunter Douglas blinds that were only ~5 years old. It was our second mechanical failure with Hunter Douglas blinds. If we got a call stating that Hunter Douglas wont help us out on defective blinds, we could explore other avenues. The first time I called H.D. directly, they were nice and said they would send us the part for free if it was in stock. This is why I am frustrated I didn't get a call. I could have tried another way that wasn't $105. Seemed like they just wanted the reimbursement for repair instead of letting me decide. We bought the house with the blinds so I understand not being under full warranty, but you would expect such expensive blinds (selling point for the house) would last longer than 5 years before breaking, right? Maybe explore another Brand at Cindy’s/Bolliger other than H.D. with better mechanisms. Lots of poor reviews about them online. Overall, I think Cindys wants to help, but they really missed the mark with me on this one.

We are SO happy with our new shades! We were specifically looking for top down/bottom up cellular blinds. When I met with Emilie in the Bolliger showroom, she showed me the various options based on what we needed. I never felt pressured in adding on extras or being directed towards a different product. She measured our windows and the blinds fit perfectly! Josh was our installer and he was efficient and did a great job! I highly recommend them for all your window covering needs!

I love the blinds and am happy that they do what I had hoped for - heat control and furniture preservation. I was at first disappointed because the blind for the slider was not cut to the right length in the factory, so that had to be redone. But three weeks later the correct frame pieces arrived and were put in place by a very efficient and pleasant installer, Josh. He knew exactly what to do, cleaned up the bits and p[ieces. Voila! beautiful blinds now in place, and I expect my heat bill to decrease.

Really nice company to work with. Emily came out to provide an estimate and we reached the consensus that it would actually make more sense esthetically and functionally to match existing shutters made by a company not carried by Bolliger. I appreciated her integrity and did not feel any sales pressure. I would certainly work with Bolliger in the future.
