Went out on a whim to find a piece of live edge to make some floating shelves. They were amazing enough to rip one side for me and cut in half so I could stain/ drill for. Although we bought the wood 6 months ago, the shelves are officially complete and turned out great (ignore the wires, that’s the next task)
First time customer this past weekend. How refreshing it is to find great customer service! As a retired retail executive, I notice more than the average customer. I saw a very consistent high standards in all aspects of my visit. Great customer service, greeted upon entrance, excellent first impression, solid recovery and merchandising standards, assembled displays, signing and vendor POP well executed, knowledgeable staff (I can’t emphasize this enough).,,, just a great overall shopping experience!
I really needed this after 2 very disappointing visits to Rockler. Many issues there. I’ll simply conclude that their concept of having an in house workshop (assuming to demo tools, etc) for heightened customer engagement has been hijacked into an employee’s personal agenda . The associate was diligently working on projects had absolutely no time or desire to interact with customers on both occasions I visited. I was definitely an interruption of his work, not the purpose of it. The manager was not much better. What a difference a management team can make (Woodcraft vs Rockler) I don’t have the names of the woman and man working late Saturday afternoon at Woodcraft but both were fantastic- they “Get It” and made my 100 mile trip worth it.
5 stars all day long!

Woodcraft is an awesome store with a great staff. After I left the store and went home, I had thought of questions I forgot to ask as I was mesmerized by the beautiful tools and supplies. I immediately picked up the phone and called back to the store to ask the questions I remembered once I was in my shop and reminded of all the things I had gone to the store to figure out. The staff generously answered all of my questions. I intend to purchase a nova chuck for my lathe, but need to do a little adapting to make it work. The young lady I spoke with seemed very knowledgeable about my issues, which was great cause I'm not sure I was doing a very good job of explaining my issues. I will most definitely go there to purchase my tools...

Always very welcome and helpful with any questions. Call ahead if you are traveling to make sure that they have what you want. They are still getting walnut slats that work great for trim and other things. I used them to make cover a plywood dog crate
