I had very positive experience with STS back in March 2019. They were very responsive. Matt was able to go out and conduct an urgent inspection for me within couple days. One the second day or so, I got the report. Matt's report was thorough and professional. He explained in details during his inspection process also.
He even went to the property second time to complete the report due to limited accessibility by snow on the first visit.
Matt's report helped to make the transaction happen. I felt assured that I paid a fair price for the house I like.
I am in the middle of purchasing a home and I gave a call to see if their company could assist. I was outside the service area but the gentleman I spoke with was so kind and helpful to walk me through what I would need done. Very professional and decent person. Very helpful for their time late on a Sunday.

Had Matt come out to inspect two properties plus a garage. Very flexible and professional. Also clear he knows his stuff as he hung out for an extra 20 minutes just to chat with me about stucco systems and maintenance as a new homeowner. Report is also thorough with quality recommendations.

We had our stucco inspection done on October 1, 2021. Matt came out with another person and they performed the inspection and we received the report a week later. They finished the inspection pretty quickly and even the seller thought it was fast.
This is why it was fast...
They missed inspecting an entire wall.. which unfortunately had very severe damage. We renovated our fireplace and when we opened up the a sliver of the drywall next to the fireplace, my contractor noticed mold. So we took down about 4 more feet of drywall and as you can see in the picture, we have severe mold issue, so bad that it compromised the plywood. It's so rotted, you can stick your finger through the plywood- means had a proper stucco inspection been done, they would have caught this instantly.
We contacted Matt and he admitted that he missed that wall bc it had no windows or doors....but it had a chimney and it actually did have a small basement window. The home we purchased is 30+yrs old.
Matt was very kind and professional though and he asked how we would want this remedied. I asked for a full refund of my inspection. We were able to negotiate w the seller another wall that had some problems so I was deeply annoyed that this wasnt found..but thought AT LEAST a refund was due back to us. He said he would talk to his boss and get back to us. It took a few more phone calls on our end and weeks later and we received a voice-mail from Matt that a refund would NOT be issued. No contact from his boss.
I'm really disappointed in this company. I hired them bc of the rave reviews... I understand that they can't catch everything but this was very accessible ENTIRE WALL, next to a chimney + the age of the home. The remediation costed us about 10k for the wall they missed, which I'm pretty sure we could have negotiated during the purchase of the house.
Photos are from inside to show how much of the plywood was compromised and how easily they would've found the damage had they just drilled a few holes in the stucco to check. The contractors who did the remediation said they're completely shocked that this was missed.

Wonderful company! My husband and I are under contract on a stucco home and wanted to conduct an inspection to be sure there are no major concerns before we proceed with the sale. Matt was great! He explained everything to me over the phone, answering all my questions about how the tests are performed and what I can expect. He was very thorough the day of the inspection and gave a clear summary when he was done to explain any concerns that required remediation and was very timely with his report, which I had 24 hours later! Highly recommend this company for your stucco inspection needs.

We contacted STS for a stucco inspection on a home we were looking to purchase. Matt was able to get the inspection done quickly and was very thorough. The comprehensive report arrived the next day and Matt was very responsive to my follow up questions.
The price was also fantastic. I highly recommend hiring STS.

We've had multiple stucco inspections done through this company. Matt does a great job each time. His inspections are very thorough and his reports are very detailed. He saved us from getting stuck with some pretty damaged homes. Highly recommended.

Was purchasing a stucco house near the shore. We were highly advised to have an invasive stucco inspection to be absolutely sure there were no water issues behind the stucco. Spoke to a number of inspectors, but felt Matt was not the most experienced of the group, but he was extremely knowledgeable and answered all our questions to our satisfaction.
Matt came from King of Prussia to the Jersey Shore and was right on time. He was extremely professional and did a thorough inspection of the house, even while we peppered him with questions throughout the whole process.
In summary, believe all the five star reviews since Matt is really that good!!

Our experience with STS was great! Matt was on time (even a few minutes early) and did a great job explaining exactly what was going on in layman's terms. He was very knowledgeable, thorough, and professional. I would highly recommend Matt to anyone looking for stucco testing. 6 stars if possible!
