Donnie, Jordan and Jeremy and crew were very professional and on time. The entire crew was polite and respectful of our belongings and new home. If we were to move again we would absolutely use this company again! Thank you for making our move extremely easy and stress free!

Our move from West Virginia to Ohio was smooth and on time. Driver Casey and his helper Josh managed to pack all of our belongings into a single storage facility while we built a new house in Ohio. Unfortunately, 3 months later when we unpacked that storage unit and moved into the house, we found a significant number of items damaged. Of course, it was too late to file an insurance claim (you only have 30 days ). I had to downgrade my review of this move for that reason.

The best movers I had in my 18th move. The men who loaded and the men who unloaded were excellent. Very respectful. Austin was great! Also a compliment to Carol Tortola who was always available to answer any question I had. I was so impressed that I never had to talk to a recording. So understanding when I thought the tote that had my photos in was missing, but it showed up in my condo. Thanks to David Hough for his professionalism. All in all a great moving experience. Thank all of you!

I had Central Van Lines move me from my house to a storage unit a year ago. While they were not the cheapest, I felt that based on their reviews, they would do a good job. I was wrong! I was assured that a few antiques I had would be protected and asked them to pack a few items for me. I had communicated with the move coordinator the night before to remind her that I would need the movers to box a number of pictures/mirrors and gave her an estimate of the size. On the day of the move, I was by myself in a 3-story home and did not see all of the activity. At one point, I did look out the front window and saw 5 of my pictures being wheeled down my driveway in a cart, hitting against each other with no protection at all. When I asked the move supervisor why they weren’t boxed as I had requested numerous times, he said that he didn’t have the right size boxes. At that point, I noticed that the largest (an expensive, numbered print) had rips in the back covering. At my insistence, they at least covered the pictures with moving pads. Other than that, the move seemed to go OK. It took about 10 hours for the move and I had been up for 72 hours and was just too tired to haggle with the movers over the damaged print. I did subsequently voice my complaint to the office but nothing was done as I did not have time to file a formal complaint. After 9 months, I finally found a home in Florida and based on my bad experience with Central Van Lines, hired another company to move me to Florida from the storage unit. For comparison purposes, I did get a quote from Central and it was at least 30% higher than the other 4 quotes I received. I was shocked by what I found as I was moved out of the storage unit. I was by myself when Central moved me into the storage unit and I concentrated more on watching the items come out of the truck rather than their packing of the storage unit. While the front of the unit appeared to be packed OK, as more items were removed, we found: 1) my antiques not protected at all (see picture of trunk with no covering perched on top of pile) and one piece damaged as a result 2) the wrap they put on my fabric furniture ripped apart and items soiled 3) scratches on my wooden furniture from the haphazard packing (see picture of good dining room chairs with toys and metal piled on top of the them) 4) a very heavy metal clothes tree bent so badly it had to be thrown away and 5) a sentimental stool broken and a piece missing. The new movers, commented that they had never seen such a poor job and kept showing me damage/marks on my furniture so that they would not be blamed. Since, it had been almost a year since the initial move, I knew Central would not do anything. Instead, I replaced the clothes tree, had my fabric furniture cleaned, touched up the scratches as best I could and will lose money on the damaged print since I am selling it. While it is too late for me to recoup my losses, I hope that this review will at least alert people to be wary of what they are promised by Central. FYI- As a point of reference, my experience with the new moving company for my long-distance move was stellar compared to Central.

Moving can be a daunting process when you have you have the wrong moving company. Bobby and Matt where amazing and I truly appreciate their skillful process. Every screw, cable, cord, and mirror was handled with care. Bobby was outstanding at packing ??????. The entire process from the sale, pick up, and delivery was a professional experience. I highly recommend the Bobby and Matt team. And thanks Carol for communicating with me every step of the way. - Marsha

Matt and the crew were so kind and worked so hard. They were friendly and professional and had my belongings unloaded quickly but with extreme care. The entire experience with Allied was fantastic and my things were in pristine order upon delivery. I highly recommend them and was very thankful for Matt and the crew from Florida.

My local allied office was very good at communicating throughout the process. Pricing was much better than other vendors I contacted. My driver, Rick made the entire process, so smooth. He was professional, maintained excellent communication, even arrived several days early. I could not recommend Rick more, not only for his professionalism, but great attitude. The only broken item in the whole move was one coffee mug, and that was due to my own packing.
