I had to have my locks replaced and was pleased and satisfied to have Mike of A-1 to do the job. He was on time, kind and professional and the job (which included 2 keys) was done well. The price was more than reasonable (esp by comparison to other lock businesses). I would recommend this business.

Mike and Robert installed my locks today and they made themselves available the day I requested, and right on time! (Great first impression) I can see why A1 Lock and Safe have an overall 5 star review, wow! They were in and out, installing a new beautiful lock with a code, matched my other keys to the new lock and even let my pup come out to supervise. I wish I could give a million reviews with 10 stars!! Way to go guys and thanks :)

What a difference a smile and patience makes. I encountered issues with a mortise lock and cylinder. Stopped by for 12 key copies and some expertise advice. Kenny provided both! Viewed my video, took patience viewing again, and suggested a fix. Stated that if the suggestion doesn't work call Mike and he will come out. Well wouldn't you know that the fix worked! I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I didn't call Mike, but he did contact me to follow-up and see if my locks were working properly. In this age of little customer service that is not automated...A1 Lock & Safe is an absolute Gem! Thank you, you have a residential and commercial customer for life.

I would recommend this locksmith to anyone in Scranton! Big Mike came out about 30 minutes after I called him to re-key my front door this morning. Also, my house is about 100 years old and he put in all the love and care into my front door to preserve its history. On the phone we also discussed putting in a key code lock on the back door. I originally thought a darker oiled bronze hardware would look good, but he brought many different options to test out (which I am so glad he did!) because I chose a gold one. Also, he was able to make both locks work with the same key so we don’t have 100 keys on the keyring! It puts my mind at ease knowing I have solid locks on the house now to keep my home and family safe. As for Big Mike, he is a kind, warm, and genuine person. Along with his expert advice about locks for our old historic home, he gave me loads of recommendations for restaurants, wineries, handymen, gardeners, etc. since I am new to the area. Thank you so much! I will be calling you soon to find some skeleton keys for my interior doors :D The pictures are the original locks and then the new ones.
