He plans well, he's very upfront about all aspects of the job and most importantly he communicates back quickly! ? He's my first referral to anyone in the area looking for someone to handle a remodeling project.

We hired Set in Stone due to an issue with water in our basement. We were blown away by their customer service, prompt response and consistent communication. Their work with waterproofing our foundation is second to none. We had floods in the area, storms with 6 inches of rain, and we never had a drop of water. It’s also wonderful that they work alongside Ray’s Carpentry. We were able to have all of our needs met with one phone call. I highly recommend this company!

After our basement flooded multiple times, Ray and his team conducted a full flagstone foundation repair to remediate the flood damage and seal the foundation with waterproofing. Ray was great at communicating each step of the process with us. His staff worked diligently for multiple weeks to complete our entire foundation repair as quickly and efficiently as possible. We are very pleased with their mason work and our basement has remained dry.

I highly recommend Ray and his team! For years our home has dealt with a wet basement. Ray was confident that he could solve our issues. The team did a wonderful job limiting the dust and disruption as the stuccoed the walls and waterproofed them. They installed french drains around the entire perimeter. They cut through a ton of ledge.

I had Ray take a look at my basement foundation for a potential repair job. When I expressed money was a concern for me after the quote I was told to take out a loan. Later in the week when I called Ray with my decision I told him I had found someone to do it cheaper, but would rather have them do it because Set in Stone could get to the job faster and I liked their pictures and reviews. When I asked if he could come down slightly in price I was laughed at and told very rudely “No absolutely not. In fact this is very insulting and I am going to pass on this job.” A simple No, sorry we can’t, would have been fine. Apparently professional courtesy of asking if they want to compete for business is taboo now. This place is clearly not for me or anyone that is not prepared to immediately throw money at them. Pure speculation, but my guess is they had more lucrative job opportunities and were never really interested except as a last resort. Be more professional to the next potential customer you turn down Ray.

Ray and Set in Stone were incredible to work with. I called him based on the reviews online and I’m really glad I did. Everything came out better than I expected, and was completed faster than I expected. Ray was easy to communicate with, explained each step, and personally oversaw all the work. The work was exceptional. His masons are true craftsmen and the quality of their work is exceptional. Each of his employees were wonderful - friendly and professional (my favorite part of his crew was definitely Skittles). In the end, I felt like I was treated like Ray would treat a member of his family. If you want someone who treats your house like they would their own home, this is the place. I look forward to working with them again!

Outstanding!! Set in Stone just installed a beautiful stamped concrete patio that we will enjoy for years to come and we couldn’t be happier. Ray and his crew are true craftsmen and extremely professional. Ray walked us through every step clearly down to a T and with 100% honesty. His quote and timeline were spot on. I could not be happier with the work Ray and his crew did! They did a great job, fair price, completed work in the time frame they told us, always cleaned up and came to work on time and pleasant. We had several quotes from companies to get our foundation renovated/repointed but went with Set in Stone because he was honest and genuine and unlike other companies who told us this project would be a lot of work and a pain to do, Ray came into our house and said he could fix our foundation and make our basement look amazing. As a home owner that is what I wanted to hear and he did just that. Very pleased. Would definitely use again !
