Manager (older guy, white hair) is extremely rude and will not treat you well if you don’t look or talk like a contractor. Spent $3,000 at their Warwick location instead of their West Warwick location because I refuse to work or talk with that manager again. Don’t go to WW location. Warwick location is way better.

I ordered a door They told me it would take two weeks to get in. I called them two weeks from then they told me I got a wait till the following Friday. That’s when the doors come in I called them on that Friday. They tell me they are going to be out at least another three weeks, why couldn’t they tell me that long before this point

Excellent customer service at the West Warwick Store. Dot was very helpful and so easy to work with. Helping design what we needed with ease. Received Order today, delivery guy “Kenny” was excellent as well. Very helpful, super polite and handled everything coming off the truck with care. Considering the cabinets are all white I really appreciated how careful he was with pulling them out of the truck. Very professional on both ends. So much more then what you see in the warehouse as well.

Love this place the folks are great! I've been buying here since 2000. As a home builder I have to try here first for every project. I especially like to find special products not found in big box stores, they can make a project, and I always get a great value. I just bought a new kitchen for my personal home remodel, and will be back for more great buys. Tom F.

Before you decide to bring your business to this company, please read about our experience. We have spent over $10k at Builders Surplus over the last couple of months on multiple bathroom vanities as well as a full set of kitchen cabinets. When we went to pick up our vanities, one was damaged with a small chip. This was handled appropriately when they provided us with a repair kit for free. Today we picked up our kitchen cabinets which also had some minor damage in the paint. The sales rep provided us with the repair kit needed to fix the damage but charged us for the kit. He indicated that they do not finish the cabinets, they only assemble them, therefore "it is what it is". Although the kit was only $20 and yes we did purchase it as it we do need it, this was handled unprofessionally. Any reputable company would have apologized and showed empathy for selling a product that was delivered damaged and provide the repair kit to rectify selling a damaged product. So the $20 they made off of us today for the repair kit is the last they will ever receive from us. The remaining items we need for our home (and there is still a lot) will be purchased from Douglas Lumber.

Great place for clear pine & hardwoods (oak, poplar, mahogany), doors & cabinets & some (unusual) tiles. No studs, sheetrock etc. Finish quality lumber here is abt 35-40% less than Homeless Depot...

Over the past 2 years, we have used Builders surplus for various building materials including wood trim, flooring, tile, custom kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanity. Dot made the whole process so easy and was always friendly and helpful. She took her time to look into any questions we had and always went the extra mile. They have a large selection and are always getting new inventory-- quality is good and price is too!

The employees were friendly and helpful, and they were the only place to have a piece of crown moulding that nearly perfectly matched our old moulding. Their selection is quite amazing, and the prices are even more impressive. Will definitely return when we need moulding, trim, doors, tile, etc.
