BEWARE. Clown show. BEWARE.
They’ll under quote you to get you to have them come out. Charge you $115 just to come out. Then assess what they need when it’s already on the work order what they need for an hour. There’s another $115. Slowest incompetent techs. Then they’ll go get the part from Lowe’s that cost $56.99
and charge you $335 for it.
For a 50amp camper hook up 10ft from the panel they “tried” to charge me $1,025. Run… don’t walk from these clowns. The office personal are even better and will come up with every excuse in the book as to why you are wrong. Don’t take their price. Go with another company

Brad was my technician. He installed three lights over my island and a ceiling fan in a bedroom. Did a great job. I will call them again in the future if I need anything.

Stephen was our electrician. His assignment was installing an “add in” box behind a TV. It went fantastic and was well worth the money. He assisted at my mother in laws house. I wasn’t even there and made payment over the phone once the work was completed. In and out of the house in less than 1 hour. Great experience with Bates Electric !!!

Ken was professional , knowledgeable and personable, he was very receptive to what we wanted and explained what he was doing step by step through out the process. Would highly recommend Bates electric to anyone I meet who needs electrical work done

Stephan Wilson was the electrician and he did a wonderful job installing two Echoflow Pro backup batteries in the garage to the service panel.
I will ask for Mr. Wilson of Bates Electric for future projects.

Bates, while a good value on cost could have burned my home down by NOT following Tesla's very basic specs.
I have contacted their service line about 7x and they have 0 interest in doing the right thing by refunding my money as I had to hire another electric company to fix their work. The electrician showed up and had no interest in running the wiring to the placement we originally wanted. We compromised and had him install the NEMA 14-50 outlet directly beside the panel in the garage- Super simple and about a 45 min job. However, He was unprepared and did not have the Proper high quality industrial grade NEMA outlet on hand that Tesla specs. He then left our home and purchased a very low quality $10 outlet at the Home Depot.
This is the result. A never event and this all could have been avoided with the proper materials used. You can not advertise that you are a recommended Tesla installer if you're not going to follow their specifications. I have been more than patient and courteous. Nice guys always get the shaft and this is a prime example.
