I made the mistake of calling another company due to the fact Schempp could not get someone there as quickly as I had hoped. Sometimes it just pays to wait and in this case it really did. Schempp heating and cooling is a longtime trusted company in Sioux Falls who has done work. I had called another company to do what I thought was a simple maintenance and ended up with someone who was over quoting the work and trying to upsell me into some thing I didn’t need, Mark Schempp came after this person, diagnosed the issue, cleaned and serviced the air conditioner, talked me out of replacing it and then only charged me less than $150 for a repair the other company was going to charge me nearly $600 for. I highly recommend Schempp heating and cooling, and will never trust my HVAC system to anyone else again.

I awoke to a cold house Super Bowl Sunday. My furnace wasn't working. I called a couple of places to inquire about repair. The first place did not answer and the second said if a repairman came to my house, it would be $250 per hour on a Sunday. I decided to wait until Monday to call for help, but throughout the day, I kept smelling something unusual so called Schempps' emergency number. Mark spent 15-20 minutes with me asking questions, giving advice. He scheduled a time for someone to come to my house on Monday. I ended up calling the gas co. as well. They sent a person out at midnight to check things out and ensure all was ok (no carbon monoxide). The next day, Dale from Schempps was able to repair my furnace! Much thanks to everyone who helped me get through this. Everyone was so kind!

It was a 90+ degree day and the AC had been hissing for a few days and not blowing anything close to cold air out. We shut it off, gave it a rest, changed the filter, hosed the coils off… closed every curtain in the house… Still no luck, the house felt like a sauna. My house is 100years old but my AC unit is only 14yrs old, I was hopeful I could get another 5-10yrs out of the thing! So I called Mark Schempp and he was at my house within 20mins, NO JOKE! He just happened to be nearby, so he popped over and replaced a few parts that had gone bad and within a few hours, my house went from 80degrees+ to a cool 72 degrees inside. We are so grateful for his expertise, his prompt response & professional work. Thank you, Mark!
