Bomgaars in Yankton is OK. But the younger Generation that has been hired is not very helpful
It seems they would rather visit each other and could care less if a customer could use a little help to find an item. It aggravated me enough I just walked out and went over to Koletskies ACE HARDWARE
And a young gentleman approached me within 2 minutes after I entered the store and asked what I was looking for and guided me to exactly what I needed.
So if you want me to give a survey
Maybe Bomgaars should hire any employee that they can from Ace hardware
They seem to know how to do their job and are very helpful
I spent a few minutes in Ace and noticed that as soon as he helped me find exactly what I needed.
He was off to help another customer
Not the case at Bomgaars in Yankton
Three of them hanging out in the back room visiting and laughing
Then at the checkout counter
Kind of the same thing.
Seemed more important that the younger Generation would rather finish their conversation with each other
Than check out a paying customer
So bottom line. I'll probably shop at Ace hardware. They know what they are doing to help a customer find what they need
Not show up to visit and collect a paycheck. Hope it works out for you
The older folks at Bomgaars are very Helpful. But it's not always like they are around
They are probably busy doing what the younger ones haven't got time to do as they are busy laughing and visiting getting paid to do so
Friendly place to shop. Very helpful service employees. Got a hummingbird feeder for $8 on clearance. Got greeting cards.

This place is definitely geared towards blue-collar clientele, which I love! I found non-slip work shoes, a variety of jerky, and tools.

Very great. I really like this store. I grew up with this one in a different state. You just need to teach them how to pronounce your name.
