We basically have a new family member now! It’s not often you meet a vendor these days that holds him/herself to the highest standard in craftsmanship and in integrity. As our need was in dealing with an insurance claim, Oleksiy was incredibly helpful in providing exactly what we needed to get everything settled so all parties could proceed efficiently. His recommendations for materials and other vendors were spot on and we got exactly what we needed. And let me say, there has NEVER been a cleaner demo job. He had two separate times for demo. Shower and tub tile and then the floor. The bathroom/house was left with zero damage or debris. Towards the finalization of the shower tile install, he noticed a hairline scratch on one of the installed tiles. We believed it would buff out but he wouldn’t hear of it. He insisted it be taken out and replaced just in case. He is methodical and easy to work with. Not a salesman at all. No need. His work speaks for itself. So now, our only problem is choosing new bath mats and towels that reflect how amazing our bathroom now looks.
I highly recommend Oleksiy with Craftsman Tile & Stone. He did a wonderful job on my 85-year-old mother’s shower. He arrived on time, was very professional, reconfirmed the work to be done before starting, and did a great job—

In March of 2024 Oleksiy did tile work in two of our bathrooms, and from start to finish we were very pleased and happy we hired him.
Oleksiy came to our home to give us two estimates for our bathrooms requiring tile work. He arrived on time, clean, and driving a tidy and well-outfitted contractor’s van. His manner was kind and personable, and he was clearly very knowledgeable. One estimate was for a more extensive bath and full tile surround remodel, while the other was for a basic tile job above the fiberglass surround to protect the drywall from water damage. Both estimates were very fair. We also received a comparable estimate from a different contractor. We chose to go with Oleksiy because of his obvious knowledge, meticulous measurement taking, and willingness to do the less extensive tile work even though it was a smaller job. Beyond all that — and I cannot stress this enough — I was completely comfortable with him in our house with just me or on his own. We did at one point make the connection that we are both Christians, so for anyone for whom that is a priority, Oleksiy is the real deal.
Each day, Oleksiy arrived on time unless an issue arose in which case he called me immediately. I believe he is the cleanest, neatest, most meticulous contractor I’ve ever hired. He arrived clean and showered wearing clean clothes. Our flooring and bathroom areas were well-protected by him. Our garage was not trashed by him. Our tub was not damaged. He did not blast music throughout my house. He cleaned up after himself each day. He was friendly and incredibly professional and polite his entire time here. He was accommodating to our schedule.
Oleksiy is truly skilled. He knows of different methods for working with unconventional issues presented by our surround. His tile work is level and symmetrical, with the center tile placed strategically above the center of the tub, and the rest of the tiles lining up left and right from that center location. (His work is like a good shirt when the pattern on the sleeves align perfectly with the pattern on the body of the shirt. This is what he does with tiles.) Oleksiy noticed the toilet in one of the bathrooms was a little wobbly and we paid him to reset it. It was very fortunate for us because the toilet was beginning to leak at the bottom. Oleksiy can work on anything in the bathroom, “from the doorway, and in.”
I really cannot find one thing to complain about or improve upon related to our transaction. I only wish we had been able to have him do the more extensive work because he would be the very best person to do it.
Without hesitation or reservation, I highly recommend Oleksiy.

Oleksiy did the tiling and flooring for our guest bathroom remodel. It looks so beautiful. He is a craftsman, an artist and a gentleman. Gave me valuable advice and guidance. Does high quality work. Very detailed oriented. Neat and tidy. Responsible. Friendly. Reasonable.

Oleksiy did an amazing job on our master bathroom from demolition by keeping the dust contained and directed outside through a channel he made to the nearest window to installing the new tile, shower and countertop. He showed up when he said he would and completed the project within allowable timeframe. He is very detailed oriented, coming from an Engineer background I was very impressed on how precise he was in every measurement, leveling and his overall work. I would use him again.

As a real estate broker and son of a professional mason, I have had the opportunity to work with numerous contractors and craftsmen in the construction industry. When I had the pleasure of working with Oleksiy Kolesnyk from Craftsman Tile and Stone, I knew I had found someone special.

We had an excellent experience working with Oleksiy for the tile in our kitchen remodel. At every step of the process the effort and attention he gave to making sure we ended up with a great result was second to none.
In short: he's talented, trustworthy, hardworking, and a great communicator. We would recommend him to anyone who needs tile installed.
Some more details about our experience:
-Whereas the guys giving the other quotes we got were in and out of our kitchen in less than 15 minutes, he took the time to discuss the details of the project to figure out what we wanted and the best way to get there.
-Our kitchen is over a crawlspace, and the floor was unlevel. He made a lot of effort to address that, using self-leveing topping in select places and paying a lot of attention to how the floor elevation varied so we wouldn't end up with lipping with our large format tile.
-He paid a lot of attention to the tile pattern on the floor, and laid everything out for an optimal placement of the pattern in the room.
-Our backsplash was a natural stone mosaic tile, that was delicate and challenging to place around the contours of the cabinets and windows.

Oleksiy was amazing! Totally thoughtful in all his layouts and cuts and considerate of what will work and what will look good. He helped direct us to the perfect stone for our fireplace. He is super friendly and communicative and very easy to work with. Honest and professional. We only wish we had found him sooner for another tile job.
