Tommy and his crew just finished a big job for me and I couldn't be more pleased. The project was a road, 3/4 miles long with hundreds of huge trees in the way and slopes up to 30 degrees to get up to my build site. The things that stood out to me were: 1. Professionalism. I relied on his decades of experience throughout the entire project, which was challenging from the very start. He brought up many considerations I would've never thought of, saving me lots of money and hassle in the years to come. When there were tough decisions about which way I wanted to proceed, I often just told him, "Tell me how you would do it if this were your road." I learned to trust his judgement very quickly. 2. Value. Alhough his prices aren't "cheap", I felt like I got a great deal done for what I paid. Almost every conversation we had touched on how to save me money while still doing things the right way. 3. Communication. Even though I live out of state for now, I always knew what was happening on the work site. Since I couldn't get there very often, he would even send me photos and videos of the work. 4. Trustworthiness. If he said he would do something, it got done. I didn't have to keep checking up on him. 5. Transparency. I got more of a detailed breakdown of my costs than I even needed. He never tried to charge me for any work that hadn't already been completed to my satisfaction. Overall, I would recommend Tommy without hesitation. I even consider him a friend now after getting to know him over the last year. I'll be using him again soon as well.

Tommy did a fantastic job for us clearing and hauling out 120 tons of dirt so I could add a barn and a carport in the side of the mountain. Good job and a great price to boot. Easy to work with. I have added some pictures of them working and when it was finished and netted. Thanks Tommy!

I would believe that if you are comparing excavating services in eastern Tennessee, Tommy Crowder Excavating is the benchmark. Tommy and his crew do excellent work, communicate throughout the process and are upfront with costs. We hired Tommy to clear land for a new home that we will retire to from northern Illinois. Throughout the whole process he was not only our excavation professional, but our consultant. He connected us with people to help with septic, power, water and home construction. His contacts at Newport Utilities and the Cocke County government offices made it easy to get what we needed. If we had a need for anything, he knew good people that could help us.
