I couldn’t be happier with Miguel from American Water Damage. My wife and I were very concerned when she noticed water seeping in under her office wall especially after the plumber said we could have possible mold damage. Miguel explained the whole process to me and was relieved to learn that our damage was actually pretty minimal. I highly recommend American Water Damage to anyone experiencing water issues and the associated problems with mold that often accompany it.

American Water Damage has been helping my family deal with some significant repairs. The whole team (Stevie, Robert, Baylor and Dawson) have been amazing. They have kept us informed and taken our issues seriously and professionally. They really do care about keeping our family safe. Thank you! I’m adding Logan and Darius to my shout outs. I missed them In my last post. They have been handling all the demo work and have been so great. My wife and I have both been working with them and it has just been awesome. Tony was unbelievably thorough and very professional yet very personsonable. We are amazed how quickly American Water Damage has stepped in and taken control of the situation and have the utmost confidence our repairs will be completely to our satisfaction! Kasai was the follow up tech and just like Tony, he was fantastic in explaining the process going forward. He placed additional fans in place and took drywall samples to check for asbestos. Very polite and professional. Has a great photo too.

I’ll start with the positives. Everyone I spoke to at this company was friendly and professional and kind. The finished product when my house was put back together looks amazing. However, I hesitate to recommend because of the following: -We called them at the beginning of April, and our project wasn’t completed until the middle of June even though I was told it was straightforward and simple to fix. I was out of my house that entire time because it was uninhabitable. -They did a really poor job communicating with my insurance company and kept giving our representative the runaround. We ended up having to have an adjuster come out which added time to the process. -They missed water the first time and things in my baby’s nursery became moldy because of that gaff. A hand embroidered blanket that took me months to make was ruined. Irreplaceable. They did end up doing more mitigation at no cost to us, but the damage was already done. And of course it added more time because they had to come back and mitigate again. -Communication broke down at one point and I ended up having to call every single day to ask for an update on my house because it had been a month and nothing was moving forward. -They called a month after my insurance had paid them for the mitigation and said that I owed them $5k that very day for the mitigation that my insurance hadn’t paid. There had been absolutely no communication from them about this prior. Honestly, I lost my temper and freaked out at the lady on the phone. It was crazy making. Had to tell my husband to handle all communication with them going forward because I just couldn’t take the whole situation anymore. I don’t know how much of this situation was just an unfortunate and honest mistake and how much of it was dishonest and incompetent business practices, but something doesn’t seem right to me. They came recommended from a plumber who was at our house for something else, and I wish I had taken a few minutes to read some of their negative reviews. Their overall rating is high, but the negative reviews all say similar things to what I experienced.
