D and team are the best! Shortly after purchasing our home, we started having issues with the circuit for our range/oven. Malco made it out the same day and took the time needed to identify the issue and take an overall look at the electrical in our home. Last week Malco upgraded my home electrical service from 100 amps to 200 amps. The primary reason for the upgrade was to add a 50 amp breaker to facilitate a level 2 charger for an electric vehicle. Malco took care of everything (pulled a permit from the city, scheduled with the city to cut my power). All I had to do was write the check. Communication between myself and the company was excellent. The work was completed neatly and quality parts were used. In the past Malco has added under cabinet lights in my kitchen, added an outlet to a closet, and replaced a bad outlet and breaker. I would not hesitate to hire Malco again should an electrical issue arise.

I had a breaker constantly tripping in a room well under load capacity and needed assistance to find and fix the issue. David and Kiefer came to my house and started off by educating me on the possibilities of the issue as they were inspecting it. They filled me in on what they were doing as they were performing work. I very much appreciate a technician who talks the customer through these things. Not only does it instill confidence in me as they do their work, but I'm now equipped with more knowledge than I had before the visit. I was on a wait list and fully expected to wait a week when I got a call that afternoon that someone (David and Austin in this case) could come right away. Jimmie at Malco is an absolute lifesaver. He came out after hours in freezing weather to get power back to my furnace. I realized at 3pm my heater wasn’t working and the temp was falling fast. My HVAC company came out and said the equipment wasn’t getting any power, and that I would need an electrician. At this point it was 5pm. I called the electrician who installed the breakers and they were gone for the day, no emergency services. I called Malco, who has emergency numbers on the answering machine. Jimmie said he had just gotten home, explained the billing and that I would be billed for the time in rush hour, which is fair and I appreciate the transparency, before heading out to make sure that was ok. He had it fixed in half an hour at a very reasonable rate. I thanked him for being willing to come out under these conditions. He said he’d never leave someone without heat on a freezing night. Saved me having to get a 5 year old and a puppy to a hotel and spend all night worrying about the pipes freezing. Malco will be first on my list for all electrical work from now on.
