Our AC went out right at the peek of the heat on July 3rd! Our AC rep came listen to my concern and offered his assistance. He was great and the reason for the 4 start but the part wasn’t and still not available and he was able to make it manageable till the part arrives. I was upset that how hot it is that Reliant don’t stock parts especially during these hot summer months when you know units work harder to keep cool. Stay tuned because the parts are still not available!!!
I have been dealing with air conditioning issues for about two years now. I had always relied on Tempo Heating and Air, with a service contract that ensured they came out every three months to change filters and inspect the units. Despite this, one of our units developed a leak in the attic, causing water buildup and rust, which they never mentioned. They insisted that the best temperature we could achieve during the summer was the current one, arguing with me when I explained that our home used to be cooler.
Frustrated, I asked them what it would take to get my home cooler, but they insisted that nothing could help. Determined to find a solution, I called four different companies. Each one identified the same issue: the number of tons of our units was insufficient to cool our house properly. Tempo Air, who installed the units, had failed to ensure they were adequate.

Hal with Reliant was excellent and was very knowledgeable. We had an AC drain clog, and he was able to fix it quickly without any issues or water damage. He also was very helpful explaining the details of how the primary and secondary drain lines were configured. He seemed very trustworthy and didn’t make it out more than it was. Highly recommend him!

Great timely service. Checked system and verified manufacturer warranty. Completed work quickly and accurately. System was back up and operational within 30 minutes. Very professional technician. Clearly explained problem and solution. Very happy. Returning customer and will happily return again.

I’m so pleased with Reliant! They were honest and direct. My ac units needed to be replaced during one of the hottest days of the summer. I got the run around with 2 other companies regarding pricing. I’m glad I called Reliant. Chandler assured me that I would be in good hands. Chrissie arrived the next day and didn’t rush me. She gave me upfront pricing and discussed options better than my credit union. I was surprised. She provided me with all the information I needed to make my decision without feeling pressured. The installation crew (Gerardo) came out the very next morning . They were professional and quick. In no time my home was back to a comfortable temperature. I would definitely recommend Reliant and will use them in the future.

Reliant Energy did a wonderful job coming to our house so quickly when our A/C unit was starting to act up. The summers are brutal here in Texas, and Collin Scarborough, our technician came two days earlier than scheduled, which was blessing. He was efficient, professional, and very kind. I have used a few AC guys over the years. It's never a fun thing. I have heard it all. I have 3 small units over 20 years old. I see a lot of AC guys. For the first time I used Reliant and it was the best experience by far. I would rather pay a higher service call fee and hear the truth. I felt that I got that today. The tech had been with the company 14 years. That speaks volumes on how the company is managed to me. I will use them again. I will at least get a quote for a new unit from them as well. Very impressed.

Shawn Carr did a good job! He arrived on time and went right to work. He was focused, and worked well on trying to evaluate my old AC system. He took photos to document what parts will need fixing. And also told me about options for repair. He was also respectful and even put on covers on his shoes when he came in the house. He knows his AC work and I appreciated him. Thanks!!

Unfortunately I had a bad experience. I called reliant because I've heard their adds on the Ticket sports radio show for years. I decided to have them come out and do a spring clean and maintenance, along with air balance. Our window for the appointment was between 8am to 8pm. Finally at 7pm they showed up. The tech said he checked everything out and visually everything looked good and checked out. The air balance was pretty low tech process. He opened a damper to one room and closed a damper to the other room. I could have done that myself in 10 minutes and not spent $180 for that service. I thought there was more to it. I've had other companies do this service at my last house and they spent over an hour adjusting the balance. Moving on, one week after the spring maintenance service was performed one of our units stopped cooling. I called Reliant back out and another tech discovered my coils were rusted out from a leak. He showed pictures and I asked how did the last guy who visually checked out everything a week before miss that needed repair. No answer to that, but he did get permission to waive the second fee after speaking a while with his manager. So time for a new coil. I've had coils replaced in the past at my previous home. The other company I used back then went and got the coil that day and repaired the unit. Not how Reliant works. They ordered the coil and a week later got the part. I called to set up the appointment and they scheduled it out another 5 days. I reminded them my AC had been down already for a week plus, and could we please have the part installed sooner. Their response, "were to busy and this is the best we can do." So it took a little more than two weeks to replace the coil. Last of all I asked the tech who replaced the coil how do I know for sure my other units coils are okay since I don't really trust the tech who inspected and missed the first bad coil. He called the office and they said I could pay another $100 to have the units RE-checked. Not impressed with this company at all. Move on to another...
