I have used Jim Farris cabinets for several projects over the past year. Most recently we made modifications to the cabinets in our kitchen. Jim came to our home and was able to guide us in modifications that would give us the biggest impact. He created a custom island cabinet, refaced a few cabinet doors, added corbels and glazed the existing cabinetry. I would recommend Jim for any project where quality and craftsmanship is important to you.
Thank you to Jim Farris Cabinets for our beautiful new kitchen cabinets. Jim had previously built new cabinets for both of our bathrooms, so we knew of his professionalism and that his work is top quality. His suggestions for ways to improve the overall look of our kitchen and to increase the amount of cabinet space without increasing the footprint of the cabinets in the kitchen has been the most surprising and delightful part of the project. It is so nice to work with a contractor who will answer your calls and take the time to respond to your questions. His team showed the same professionalism when they installed the cabinets. They were very careful with the cabinets and all surrounding areas and left everything clean when they were finished.

Jim came highly recommended by a builder we had worked with previously. We presented Jim with a very challenging project. We wanted a custom rolling, folding office table with a large hinged table drop-leaf that can be placed within our cabinet or pulled out and expanded for meetings. The trick was that we wanted the table to look seamless when the leaf is dropped and seamless when the leaf was raised. Jim's solution was to build a rounded hinge out of the table top's solid walnut. He also solved the counterbalance issue of having a heavy drop leaf by integrating an elegant steel plate into the bottom frame. This was truly a unique project. Our table is one-of-a-kind. Jim's craftsmanship and eye for detail are bar-none. More importantly, I'm convinced he can make any idea happen. He thought through our list of wants and customized a piece of furniture that become a work of art. We cannot recommend Jim Farris enough.

My experience with Jim was amazing! Coming from a design background, I knew precisely what I wanted. Jim made my dream kitchen design a reality. He not only listens and delivers what his clients want, he makes suggestions that enhance the functionality of the space. Everything from his working drawings, construction & finishes and installation, down to the smallest detail, is ABSOLUTE PERFECTION! I look forward to working with Jim again. I wouldn’t even consider using someone else for my cabinets. He is truly an ARTIST!

I built a wooden dining room table with complex inlay top. I worked hard to finish the top, but was not satisfied with the results, and so asked Jim to make it look the way I wanted it to. (see the picture below of the finish work he did on the table I made). The work he and his team can do is incredible. I've seen a number of examples of his work, both large and small jobs. If you have a cabinetry or finishing job you want done right, Jim Farris is the guy!
