We supply shotcrete concrete in St George. It took us 3 months to finally get a check for the last 2 pools we did for this company. The check bounced. We contacted the owner and he told us to run it through again. He then went to the bank and put a stop payment on the check and it was sent back to us again. We have tried to contact him, but have had no response. We have since filed liens on these 2 projects. We have filed a complaint with the State Licensing Board and have turned the matter over to our attorney. We have also heard that this company builds a good pool, but we know of others who have struggled to get paid from them also. In our opinion, if you chose to use this company to build your pool, make sure that the subcontractors and suppliers get paid by insisting on lien releases. This will protect you and insure everyone who has worked on your project gets paid. We will not be supplying this builder again!

After enduring 14 months of frustration with a previous contractor who left our yard in disarray, we turned to Jim and Odyssey Pool for a much-needed rescue. Given our experience (with the prior contractor), I anticipated the need to be more assertive as a customer this time. Jim, however, understood our level of stress and proved to be highly accommodating and understanding. Due to the failure of our prior contractor, we faced the daunting task of completely rebuilding our pool, spa, and plumbing. Odyssey tackled the challenge by core drilling new plumbing into the existing pool shell, squaring the pool, then re-forming rebar and re-shooting shotcrete to rectify the pool shell. Additionally, they used a massive foundation excavator to remove the old spa shotcrete shell, then installed new plumbing, rebar, and finally new shotcrete— pool and spa were an enormous undertaking that other contractors were reluctant to commit to solving. Part of our agreement was a rock wall to match our existing landscape surrounding 1/3 of our pool, a water feature, and a jumping rock that turned out absolutely beautiful. Throughout the process, Jim remained honest and went above and beyond to ensure the project was done right. We reached mutually agreeable terms, and Jim delivered on every aspect with high quality. I never felt like I was being taken advantage of, and whenever there was an issue, Jim promptly addressed and resolved it. Happy with the initial results, we extended our contract with Jim to include additional drainage work, specifically installing french drains throughout the property. This extension was seamlessly accommodated within the timeline of our agreement. Given the constraints on my schedule and Jim's, we opted mainly for text communication and found it mostly effective. I recommend scheduling regular calls in addition to text for optimum communication for those planning to work with Jim. It's only been a few months since we completed, but we are very happy, the yard, pool, and spa are what we had hoped for when we started almost 2 years ago. Thank you Jim and Odyssey team! I'll update the photos in the summer of 2024; I forgot to take good pictures before we winterized the pool for the season.

Jim and his team have ALWAYS gone the extra mile to take care of my pool and spa needs. They did the pool at my old house and I cannot say enough positive things about it. When we moved, our new house had an outdated pool/spa so I called them up and they did a complete upgrade. They have always been so great to work with and I recommend them to everyone. They are great.

Hiring Odyssey pools to build a swimming pool and landscaping my yard was a great decision. Jim and his crew worked hard, were responsive to my questions and performed beautiful work. All within the time frame that was expected. I have recommend them to my neighbors and would to anyone else considering a similar project. I am loving my pool and yard.
