DO NOT want to give 1 star. I went into the main office just before Jan 1 and spoke with the main man at the front desk - you cant miss him, he is the ONLY PERSON YOU CAN TALK TOO. That person then got Lane from the back. Lane met with me - i gave him full scale drawings the project and he said he would be by the location Wednesday at 10:30am to meet with me and go over the proposal. Well... he never showed up. So today, 1/3 I dropped back in and THE SAME PERSON WAS AT THE DESK! I explained to him that I met with him last week and he got Lane to help us - he then, without a second pause... reached for Lane's card and said " Lane isn't here, call him" I replied, "sorry, maybe you dont understand, I met with him - he never showed up" HE SAID "I WOULD GO TO ALLIED FENCE" Yes, the person working for American Fence told me to go to a competitor! Well I was sure to let him know I WOULD NOT BE BACK TO AMERICAN FENCE and there was NO WAY I WOULD GO TO HIS SUGGESTED PLACE! American Fence is a company that clearly does not want business. They employee employees that actually refer the competition. GO ELSEWHERE! I am!

I have had great experiences time after time at American Fence! Their prices are fair and they are always helpful. I have been doing business here for over 10 years. Chris is always patient and helpful even though I always seem to forget the terminology and make up my own words for the different fencing parts. I have purchased standard supplies as well as special order items and I have always gotten what I expected in a reasonable time frame. Thanks guys!

Pros: Good showroom and helpful counter service staff. The welders are even more friendly and helpful than the counter service staff. Cons: More expensive than a nearby fencing supplier, especially for fabrication. Even worse, my final product has the worst weld workmanship I've ever seen. They didn't even bother notching ends that were welded onto round posts. They just cut them straight and spanned the huge gaps at the sides with weld. They also didn't bother filling in the gap with enough material so it could be ground flat. All welds are very irregular and sloppy and will be weaker than they should be. I have two more gates to get fabricated. I will definitely be taking that business elsewhere. Sad because the welders were so friendly. Unfortunately the workmanship is too poor for me to be able to recommend.
