We decided that we needed a new roof. The current roof was still in good shape and did not leak. We decided to go with Kimball Strickland and the stone coated metal shingle that he recommended. We purchased a lifetime metal shingle. The problems started at the tear off, our rain gutters were bent, mangled and barely hanging on, they were full of roofing nails and debris. I had asked before the tear off started if I needed to remove the rain gutters and was told I did not. When the old shingles were removed from the roof, black marks were left on the siding. There were nails all over the ground, I had to remove them with a large magnet. I was up on the roof after dark holding a flash light for 1 guy Who could not speak English and was going to put the underlayment over the top of the loose roofing nails and debris. I contacted Kimball Strickland who had some guys remove the underlayment and clean up the nails and debris. When the install was finished the roof started leaking. When Kimball Strickland was contacted he had someone come out and apply chalk after he told me that chalk was not a permanent fix. They have been out numerous times and my roof still leaks. We purchased metal shingles with a life time warranty. The contract states that they will stand behind their work for 5 yrs, We were told by the Kimball Strickland that the workmanship was expired which is not how the contract reads. We have multiple pictures and videos of the leaks. We spent a lot of money for a lifetime roof. We received a product that has continually leaked in the front and back of our home and the roof peak. Gary said that water is traveling through the side joints, travel up under the singles freezes expands. The bottom row of metal shingles should stay locked into the drip edge, they have never stayed locked in. The roof looks like it is a scab job it is an eye sore and is affecting the value of our home. They did not install the system per the manufacture specifications and left out several components required for the system.

Beware! Kimball Roofing’s work is low quality, they are anxious to sell unnecessary work and they are very willing to waste your time. Kimball himself came out to do the preliminary inspection for a small leak from an exhaust pipe exiting the roof. He inspected the roof from the ground but did not go on the roof or in the attic space. He said he would fix the leak, recommended replacing a visibly damaged turtle vent and recommended adding a ridge line vent. We rejected the ridgeline vent, because we had already added 4 turtle vents a couple of years earlier, which serve the same purpose and felt like we were being sold unnecessary work. We accepted the leak repair and the turtle vent repair. They came out promptly and replaced the turtle vent and worked on the exhaust pipe leak. It rained a few days later and the roof leaked again in the same place. The turtle vent replacement had not issues. I called them and asked them to come out again and resolve the leak. Kimball came out again and looked at the roof from the ground only. He said he would send out a team to revisit the leak. They never came. I made 3 more appointments. The first was a no call, no show. The second was rescheduled minutes before the appointment. The third was another no call, no show. After an hour I called them for an ETA and Kimball tried to reschedule the appointment again. I said that was not acceptable (angrily). He got angry too. He hung up on me.

I felt like this company was reputable so they would be a good choice for our siding installation. I will not recommend this company. Their communication was almost non existent. I was given an estimated install date approximately 1 month out after paying half down, which was substantial. When the time came and no one contacted me I called to see when it would be installed. They gave me a different day. When no one showed up, I called them back and was told that my material was no longer being manufactured and they didn't know when it would be available. I fell this information should have been communicated to me as soon as they found out the material was not available. Not when the projected install date and come and gone. I was informed we could go with another option, and decided to do that and was given another install date. The date came and no one showed up. I called again and left a message. I was contacted by them the next day, and they said their employee had an emergency and could not make it the day before. I said I understood, and they set up a date for the next day. The employee and helper showed up, but did not have a very professional attitude. Their clean up process was not at all professional. We are still finding staples and bits and pieces of siding that was left from the installation. When I asked about a warranty, they said that vinyl siding does not have a warranty. That's fine, but they said there was no warranty on their labor. Very disappointed in this company. After posting my review, the owner of Kimball roofing reached out to me and discussed my issues. I was informed there was a warranty for my siding and he said he would send someone out to clean up whatever was left on the property. We discussed communication is vital. Especially during times when product availability is an issue. After speaking with Kimball I would recommend his company, he felt it was important to speak with me about the issues and make it right. To me, that's great business and customer service oriented. Thank you Kimball.

We really enjoyed working with Gary. The roofing done was exceptional and having 110 year old gutters removed was not easy but they know what they are doing. I would gladly recommend Kimball to all my friends and family.

Great service, friendly staff, and quality work! They were able to inspect the damage and provide an estimate within one day of our initial call. They came to the site twice to show metal roof sample colors. Our new roof looks amazing and they did a fantastic job in leaving the job site clean. We will definitely use Kimball Roofing again!!!
