Our family's 1831 barn was heavily damaged in a storm. We were having trouble finding someone with the skill to work on such an old structure when we came across Arbor Ridge. Steve and his crew were professional, knowledgeable, and hard working. While our budget didn't allow us to put the barn back the exact way it was built, Steve came up with a plan that, in the end, looked great and saved a historic barn that would have otherwise been lost.

We feel so blessed to have had Stephen Kuplack and his team build our home. They did an amazing job with so much attention to detail. They listened and implemented all our special requests (which, after loosing our former home to toxic mold, were many). A year after the build, we have reviewed and evaluated different aspects of the construction and appreciate the quality of the work and solid knowledge of the builder.

I have worked with Arbor Ridge Builders for about 3 years now, and have enjoyed every minute of it. Stephen is a true timber-framing professional. He and his team are friendly, helpful, and have a skill-set that we don't see enough of in this area. From design to installation of his product, he is creative and incredibly efficient. If you're looking for timber-framing a house, barn, commercial building, or just excellent joined carpentry of a smaller size, he is the go-to guy!

I worked with Stephen Kuplack in tandem with an architect firm to design my custom timber frame home. His personal touch and suggestions were absolutly invaluable. He truly cares about delivering the best experience and product available on the market, and he adds the personal touch that is so lacking in the home building market. If I ever do it again, I will go back to Arbor Ridge Builders!

Had Arbor Ridge renovate my 1875 timber framed barn using traditional joinery. The barn was neglected and had two roofs and a lot of rot from the leaky roof. My only request was I want the barn to look like it did back in 1875, as traditional as possible, I want pegs, not screws or metal plates. He used white oak beams and where applicable used traditional cut nails. Stephen kept us informed along the way and he and his crew were pleasant to deal with. I would highly recommend him for traditional carpentry on your next project. He's highly skilled, part of the timber framers guild, and has a wide breath of techniques. In fact we are having him do another traditional project on our project.
