Never been so happy for a second opinion. I called another company first, and they told me I had a leak in the coil and was extremely low on freon. They gave me an estimate of 3700 to repair, or 9-10k to replace. Called Southern Goodman for a second opinion and it turns out none of that was true, no leak, freon was full. My fan capacitor was blown and the control board needs replaced. Fixed me up so I have AC while waiting for the part to come in and will fix it. Exceptional customer service and the service technician obviously knows what he's doing! It's nice to know there are companies that are willing to help their customers instead of trying to rip them off. Thank you for your quick fix and honesty!
This review is specifically for Silas who was the most valuable resource of knowledge I could ask for. I'm a first time home buyer so I know only the basics when it comes to HVAC. Silas broke everything down into easy to understand steps and helped me process the best course of action for my 20 year-old unit.
He went through a thorough process of elimination listing and explaining each step along the way that it was not a bad Capacitor, nor a lack of R22 Refrigerant, but a Condenser that had gone bad and would not respond to a Hard Start fix. After listing the price of potential repair for a 20 year old unit he expressed the option for a new unit and a price range I could expect.
TL;DR is that Silas explained my unit was dying and out dated, and a new AC unit would probably be a better option, all without pressuring me in any way.

Absolute worst company. My unit they replaced 5 years ago has required repair twice. The mislead you on when they can come out so you don't go to another company. Last year I paid $5,000 to upgrade my unit only to find out from the technician that the upgrade was never needed, they had just put my settings to low so the output wasn't enough. He said they do that to make sales and only the technician can adjust the settings.

Very knowledgeable and kind techs. They explained and showed me exactly what the problem was. The office administrator that answers the phone is always very friendly. I was very happy with the level of service and knowledge of the techs.

Well I can't say enough about Silas and Thomas they were amazing Silas went through and made sure I understood everything. Very good and honest men. And Thomas explained things to me got an estimates for me and broke them down to my understanding no Shenanigans here well two amazing men. Thank you guys!

The technician, Bryce, was prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. He quickly diagnosed the issue with our HVAC system and made the repair the same day. He also took the time to explain cost effective preventative measures for maintaining our system. The work and customer service were both exemplary.

We had our Trane AC unit checked out on June 9, 2024. Kevin was the technician from Southern Goodman. He was friendly and did the work in a competent manner. We appreciated his candor and his giving us useful information on our unit and service for it. We plan to use Southern Goodman for future service and repairs and when we need to have the unit replaced.
