We appreciated the ideas that Scott brought to the table -- he has great instincts for design. Follow through, however, became inconsistent/sporadic because most of the work was performed by one of his staff and Scott became an intermediary. As a result, edits to our designs were forgotten/misinterpreted, which added costs to the design process. We decided to cut our losses and go with another firm. We do appreciate Scott's work and might consider using him in the future.

SMS designed a complicated addition for me that stayed true to the architecture of the original house while adding more space and functionality. From our initial meeting, they really got what I wanted from a layout perspective, but more so from a quality and style perspective. As such, the plans were completed without too many iterations. I am thrilled with the result.
