Our home was struck by lightning last night, very scary. We are all fine, no fire, but house sustained significant damage with electricity and "fried" electronics. Called them, as a new customer at 8 am, based on awesome Google reviews. Arrived at my home with 2 electricians at 9 am and worked until 4 pm. Amazing care, professionalism and concern for my family's safety. They checked every piece of equipment, every outlet, took the panel apart to check for damage, tested for load requirements, installed new whole home surge protector, new GFI switches where needed, replaced broken items and generally gave wonderful peace of mind. They earned a new customer for life! Give the owner, Dwane, a call!

This is an odd house utilizing post-and-beam construction with roof panels and floor panels; not many open spaces in which to run wiring. Previous owners had done some "creative" wiring and left some mystery circuits. We've been planning an extensive kitchen remodel that required removing an interior wall to expand into the new kitchen space. Lauterbach had previously done work for us tracing wires in the ceiling of the old kitchen space so that we could install new skylights and we knew they were the ones for the rest of this job. Ken and his helpers were on site for more than a dozen days over the months it took for us to complete our remodel. They understood the mission and worked with us to troubleshoot the problems with the existing wiring, solved some mysteries, and suggested ways to accomplish our goals with the new work. They strove to accommodate us, sometimes on short notice as when another contractor finished up his portion and we needed the electricians back for the next steps so that we could maintain our momentum, and they arranged for the inspections. They were respectful of the property and of our vision, and they were a pleasure to deal with. We could not have done this job without them.

The Lauterbach folks did a great job installing our new front house lights. Our older lights were smaller and pulling away from the siding. We texted pics and measurements back and forth and they got the perfect hardware to hang the new fixtures. Came out fantastic. I also had them move a 220v outlet for a newly delivered electric stove - and that was done in 10 minutes. We'll use Lauterbach many more times!

Although I generally don't review companies, I felt compelled to share my experience with Lauterbach Electric. My wife and I decided to completely remodel the kitchen of our 1956 home in Richmond. We also were determined to act as our own general contractor and manage the subcontractors ourselves. After locating the appropriate contractors, we began and worked through the design details with the appropriate subs. After the schedule was planned, the first electrician fell through, unable to make our revised scheduling. The plumber/carpenter we were using suggested Lauterbach Electric. I will say this wholeheartedly: I AM GLAD HE DID. After speaking with the president, Dwayne, on the phone, he showed up, thankfully, early for the initial appointment to assess the job. He not only assessed the work that he had to do, but brought clarity to what we wanted to do, suggested very positive and attractive additions and later provided us with a detailed proposal. This included no only the scope of work, but the fact sheets for all products that he suggested and would use for the job. When Kenny and partner arrived after the initial demo, I found them both intelligent and personable. They were completely communicative during the job and successfully worked around our elderly beagle dog. They showed up on time, when they said they would. They also took the job one step further and replaced all the old wiring in the walls, to ensure safety. This was beyond the scope of the job. These guys worked around the other subs without problems and communicated well with them directly as to when they were needed. We absolutely loved the results they produced. Even though my experience with electricians is limited, I would not use another company if I have the choice to use Lauterbach.
