Made contact with Chris mid Aug, discussing overall installation process and KW requirement for our home. Had So. States do the 500gal UG propane tank and connection to the generator. Alternative Power did a very good installation with good technicians. All permits and inspections were handled by Alternative Power and So. States. “Final inspection” was end of Oct. In January our area was hit with a winter blizzard that downed the power lines for miles around. The Generac generator ran for six days straight and is estimated would have run for 4 more days, considering all factors. It’s a great feeling to know that when the electricity goes off, we still have “our own Generac whole house power”. Thank you Chris and Alternative Power. Rick and Pam Derrickson, Mineral Va

I highly recommend Alternative Power of Richmond for anyone’s generator needs. Our sales representative was professional and attentive to our needs, answered all of our questions, and ensured my wife and I understood the process of determining our back-up power needs, generator sizing, purchasing options, installation procedures, required inspections, and initial start-up. The company also worked with our LP Gas provider to ensure both companies were on the same page, which made the whole process seamless. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
