What a fantastic experience from beginning to end! Sales rep very likable and absolutely no pressure to buy! Windows were installed 2-3 before we expected. Now about the crew that installed my beautiful windows THEY ROCK!!! Professional, well mannered, and definitely know what they are doing! I can't say enough good about the job they did replacing my windows! Forgot to mention they worked through the rain! Again Window Depot THANK YOU
5/10: We’ve had a contractor and a power washer notice it. Both let us know. I reached out to the contractor when I got your quote since they were at our home and know the layout of the trim. They didn’t agree with your assessment of the quote being “fair”. We will be repairing our home so you continuing to say we aren’t willing to pay wears thin.
Your installer’s boss who told me he was let go must be confused. Maybe you should talk with him. That certainly wasn’t made up.
You are correct, had you told us about the rotten trim we would have fixed it then. We would have been grateful to get it fixed before water started leaking into our home.
No reason to stop the job and tell your customer spending $24,000 with your company about wood rot even if you noticed it? Just because it’s out of the scope of work? How about common courtesy or decency? That says a lot.

5/8: We should have been told about the rotten wood. Period. I’ve had contractors tell me the job should have stopped and it brought to our attention. One thing Beau and I agreed on.
Two Windows Depot employees told me that about Drew. That’s all we know. One was his boss.
They had a chance to do the right thing during the install by letting everyone know about the trim and they chose not to for some reason. That’s the 1 star review.
You victoriously pointing out who is responsible for the rotten wood doesn’t change the fact that you are apparently content with your team installing windows around rotten wood without notifying the customer who would have no way of knowing otherwise.
Wish we had known that about your company.
5/4/24 Update:
What a mess we’ve been left with.
Per Window Depot, our installer was fired for cutting corners on jobs. Our job? The trim around our bay window is rotten and now water comes down our inside wall when it rains ever since the install. Our installer should have told Beau, my wife and I so it could be fixed. He didn’t. ?
They came and measured the trim and told us they would just charge us their cost for the materials. Seemed reasonable so we asked if they could replace two small pieces in another area. Thinking they were going to help us since our installer left us in a bad spot, we waited for the estimate. The material costs were somewhat reasonable at $2,600 but they were charging us $4,000 for labor.
It was quite shocking to see a price over 25% of our window bill for the trim. After spending $24,000 with a company and a serious issue comes up, one would think you’d get help finding a solution the benefits both parties.
I don’t think it is unreasonable to feel that Window Depot should split the labor cost with us, at a minimum, since they helped put us in this situation.
I’ve been told Frank and Laura said rotten trim wasn’t a part of their install process. Ironically both our contracts reference rotten wood and replacement. I waited to speak with Beau again, as he had been helpful and sounded truly sorry about his team and our installer leaving us in this position. He said he would speak to Frank and Laura about this and get back to me. That was almost two weeks ago and I’ve called and left 3 messages for him.
It’s unfortunate they aren’t following through with helping someone who has invested so much with their company. Now we have to figure out how to stop the water from dripping down the inside of our wall and rotting the window frame. It’s a big bay window and could cause quite a safety issue for us and our child. Next step will be registering a complaint with the DPOR. Maybe they can help us.

Our experience with Window Depot has been wonderful. Started with Phil who was excellent and extremely patient with all our questions and changes. Scheduling with Beau was easy. On time installation. Drew, Michael and the guys were great and took care of our home as of it was their own. Very impressed. So much that we ordered more windows! ?

Wonderful experience with the entire team from the Charlottesville location. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and take great care of their customers. Installers even came back to help loosen the door for the smart lock to auto lock without having to pull the door while locking. Highly recommend!

We had our new bathroom window installed Monday by Manny and the crew. I couldn’t have asked for a better job. The guys took the time to keep the dust and debris down to a minimum. They cleaned up everything around the job and left it in imaculate condition.I had another window company that begins with a “p” and ends in “a”they were terrible I’m still having a problem with my front door installation. Do yourself a favor and go right to Window Depot and have them install your windows. They will do an outstanding job.

Very fast from ordering to prodution to install. Installation went very well. 4 man crew finished 2 hours ahead of schedule. I would highly recommend Window Depot.

Mike came out to the house and spent a lot of time answering our questions and making sure we got the right windows for our budget. The installation team hit some snags due to the way our original windows had been installed under the hardiplank. It was unexpected and frustrating (for them!) but they took the extra time to make sure everything was done correctly. I am so happy with my purchase and would 100% choose Window Depot again.

Window Depot has been great to deal with from start to finish. From the sales team to the installation technicians they were all professional and on time. Extremely happy with the process overall. Good quality and value. The installation technicians were very polite, knowledgeable, and professional. They kept us informed every step of the process. If you need windows for your home this is the team you want!
