I used to think this was a great company when they first installed my solar, on top for solar but when you become a preferred vendor you lose sight of what matters. Customer satisfaction has become absolute zero for them. I had Prospect Solar remove and re-install my panels because I was getting a roof replacement. After weeks of trying to get them to send over a contract, they set up a date. That date was then changed. The re-install date was also changed. Delayed, ignored. I was met with SEVERAL delays, re-schedules, poor communication, not following instructions (they left the parts on my grass killing my grass), and loose screws are still falling from the roof onto my backyard. And after all of the poor customer service, they dared to charge me for replacement parts when I never provided or authorized them to do so. They may have the experience and the skillset but the experience of working with them was the worst customer service I've ever dealt with. If I can vote zero stars I really would.
Huge thanks to Wyatt, Jackie, and the rest of the Prospect Solar team! I couldn’t be happier with the service you've provided getting my family’s new home solar system installed and functioning. I am OBSESSED with checking our energy production on my SunPower app. For anyone looking to go solar in Virginia, I would recommend these guys 10 times out of 10. They are expert, available, friendly, local, trustworthy, and responsive - everything I was looking for in a solar energy partner!

I purchased a system about a year ago and have had Mixed interactions with this company.
The product was good, a little pricey but good. the installation was mediocre at best. the system is not flat and has some variation in is pitch cause of the mounting system used.
The system does not produce as much as suggested by the sales person and the company has not reached out at any point to check in on the system despite me raising a few concerns about how the monitoring system is not operating correctly.
I had to pester them to come and do a minor repair regarding the electrical.
I also have handfuls of extra pieces that were dropped during install or were left on the roof or in the gutter, one of the pieces I found with my lawn mower which resulted in damage. I would have expected better jobsite maintenance and cleanup, and better, and more responsive customer interaction and service based on the overall job.
I want to be clear that I am not stating this job was done badly, or that it is a bad company, just not quite up to par with what I had expected from a retail purchase, and what I hoped for based on the glowing reviews.
Still open to change my mind but not currently satisfied.

Our system was installed by a well known EV car company and that was the mistake. I wish we had utilized Prospect Solar from inception.
We had issues with critters and the original company took 3 months just to inspect the system. Long story short….I hired Prospect Solar instead and they not only fixed the damaged wires but also installed the critter guard.
The crew that worked on the panels were punctual, professional and highly experienced. The cost to fix the system was very reasonable and we are extremely happy. I just wish we started with Prospect Solar sooner.

Prospect installed a 42-panel, 15.3 kW array on the roof of our house. In general, we were very satisfied with Prospect. Their estimators and installers were professional, friendly, and efficient. It did take a total of 6 months to go from contract signing to installation but most of this delay was due to Prince William County stalling the permitting process. Prospect's relationship with NOVEC made the net metering process very quick and easy. The system is performing extremely well and very close to Prospect's original estimates. In April, we produced 1.4 MWh of electricity! Would highly recommend Prospect for your solar installation.

We were very pleased with work prospect did. We gathered several offers for our residential solar project and Prospect offered us excellent pricing on high-quality panels. We first heard about them because our local nonprofit energy alliance had worked with them previously and had good things to say about them. The most impressive part was the communication from initial options for variable sized systems at different price points, to implementation of each stage of the process. We liked that they were not just selling one system from one manufacturer and could give us the pros and cons of each one. Even when there was some slight damage to one part of our ceiling during installation they came back and fixed it when we mentioned it. I would highly recommend Prospect solar!

We are very pleased with the entire experience of buying from Prospect Solar. From our sales guy Wyatt, to our entire installation team (who were very friendly and cleaned up nicely after they were done), and to Clinton, our technician who finalized our installation and booted it up, we couldn't be more pleased. The Sunpower system is a very neat, smart design, from the panels and mounting rails down to the "box" that controls it all and talks to our network. And the Sunpower app is very well written, concise and to the point without any fluff. We even received a manual on operation that even included system drawings. Overall, very impressive, and you won't go wrong by choosing Prospect.
It is now early December, and I have just received my first full month power bill from Dominion since our installation was done, and it is $8.05 ! Needless to say, we are very pleased with the Prospect Solar installation and highly recommend the product and people!
