The manager Sal was super helpful and courteous. He saved the day. I was working on a tight deadline and he went out of his way to help us find a new product at the last minute. It is rare to see his level of service nowadays in retail. For that reason, we will be doing all our floor and tile business with his store. Corporate, he is a great asset, reward him. Thanks again!
I walked in to browse and the two senior sales men barked at me with blaring eyes asking me if I was high three times. I thanked them for their concern and decided to leave the store. The service orientation in this store is backwards. There was a young lady who asked me about my day and how I was doing, where I work and if I needed anything that shed be around. The stuff inside is pretty I guess. I'll go to Tyson's or McLean instead. I didn't really feel welcomed other than being offered water because the salesmen thought I needed help. I'm in my Sunday best here guys LOL

Our experience going to the shop a few times from trying to figure out how much tile we needed to ordering to returning the unused boxes was seamless. They helped us figure out color schemes for the whole bathroom and it proved to be correct. Felt they had a lot more selections than other tiles stores in the area. If we need tile in the future for a project, we will just go straight to the store and not bother with the others.

I took bathroom measurements to the tile shop in Tysons Corner besides the Starbucks on Leesburg Pike. The person calculated how much floor tile, wall tile, and marble base would be required. The floor tile calculations were off by 2 boxes and we were 2 boxes short. Calculation for marble base was also off by one box, but I had an extra. It is important to note all of these items are still in stock in their inventory.
My contractor was delayed in starting the project due to health concerns. The contractor sent me to the tile shop to get 2 more boxes of floor tile and to return the extra box of marble base. They refused to return the marble base stating it had been over 6 months since purchase. Had the tile shop correctly calculated the needed materials I would not have had the further delay in finishing the bathroom or had the overage. We are now waiting for the floor to arrive at this location. I determined that the shortage of tile must have arisen out of the square footage calculation fo the tub and believe he subtracted the tub twice. The manager Sal Shahidi apparently directed the staff to not assist this customer. I would not recommend dealing with this store manager at all, and would encourage you to go to other tile shop locations.

I went into the Vienna store with the intention of returning a sample of tile that I bought previously because it was much more expensive than another style from Floor & Deco. Then I ran into Shahid who convinced me that the quality of the tile was much better (thicker and heavier), and it would look much better in my kitchen. I ended up changing my mind and going with the Tile Shop due to his superb customer service. Find Shahid if you need anything related to kitch or bath remodeling. He’s the best.

Just completed a bathroom project and used Tile Shop, my local shop for most my supplies. I was very happy. They have a large showroom with a good selection ranging from regular to high-end more premium tiles. This makes it easy to work with various budgets.
We were having a tough time making decisions and the sales rep was actually very good with helping us out. First, he understood our design and then helped pick a wood tile for the floor and matched up wall tile. Further, he found us a high quality tile and offered a discount on it similar to what contractors pay because we may have had a large order. Because we had uncertainty on when the contractor would arrive to pick it from the shop, they even delivered the tile straight to my house for free which I was not expecting. Our decision and purchase would have taken much longer if not for the sales guy so I think he did his job well...closed the deal and left happy customers.
We had also selected large format tile so he selected LFT thinset (slightly more expensive) and advised me on using it because of the heavier tile. Once my contractor started using it, he loved it and said he was going to use it for all projects. My contractor directly started working with Sal (the store manager) and told me that he liked working with him and they were flexible.
In summary, I found the selection great, the prices reasonable and the salespeople friendly ands knowledgable. Will definitely use them again.

I usually love Tile Shop and it's unfortunate that I leave this review today. I've ordered several thousands of dollars in various beautiful tiles from Tile Shop over the past year, as I was introduced to their Pro perks program by a courteous and surprising cold call from a Regional Pro Market Manager and thought to give them a try as a small business, diverting some of my usual budget from Floor & Decor's great selections and competitive prices. I am accustomed to stores such as Floor & Decor because I have never had an issue returning items after a project, even if it's past 90 days and I just get store credit (which I then use for future projects), which happens often as projects have regularly gotten delayed since the pandemic. This is what I've always loved about Floor & Decor over their competitors, since they have a similar store credit policy as Home Depot, which is great for small business owners like myself. However, Tile Shop is not like their competitors. My most recent return experience a few weeks ago at one of the Tile Shop locations in Northern Virginia was denied for a relatively small return (a few hundred dollars), specifically because it was over the 90 day return period and they do not offer any store credit options AT ALL. I reached out to my Regional Pro Market Manager by phone and email, the store reached out to another Regional Pro Market Manager, and I heard back from neither as of yet (several weeks later at this point). I pointed out that Tile Shop receipts make no mention of no store credit after 90 days, and no rationale was provided by any representative as to why they do not accept a return for store credit, as their competitors do. Tile Shop also doesn't offer any flexibility to small business owners with a business account, again, even though their competitors do offer such flexibility for commercial accounts and small businesses.
Despite these facts, no associate was able to grant store credit, and although I was told I would receive a call back from a Regional representative, I haven't yet. A warning to others considering purchasing large quantities or varieties of tile from Tile Shop, their return and store credit policies seem to be changing and are simply too difficult to work with (the manager even stated that anything over 60 days now is at the discretion of the store, although it appears that anything beyond the 60 or 90 days is absolutely worthless to Tile Shop in terms of a return, exchange, or store credit). I would caution others consider competitors and their return/store credit policies first for larger orders, before going to Tile Shop, which has dropped down in my rankings of preferred tile stores due to their non-existent store credit offerings and poor support, follow-up, and options available for small businesses in their Pro network. I'll update this review if I ever hear back from any Regional Pro Market Manager and I hope that Tile Shop learns from their competitors and changes thier policies to attract the business of more individuals and small business owners.

The negative reviews on service are spot on.
If I could give negative stars, I would.
This is one of the few places that I’ve been to where the employees displayed utter lack of interest in engaging with customers. All questions were met with simple, yes or no answers, if I were lucky enough to find an employee. I was trying to engage the employees to get suggestions on tiles, but after the first few seconds, they all disappeared. It’s a large showroom, and I only saw 2 employees in total, and most of the time they were in the backroom though they knew customers were in the store.
Perhaps they cater to contractors for volume business and not interested in individual customers that come in the shop. Whatever the reason, I decided to go elsewhere.
Definitely not going back and giving them my business. I’ll spend my money elsewhere.

Decent selection but the customer service here is horrible – rude and unhelpful. We had to wait weeks for our tile to come in. They were very short with us when we politely called for an update when it took longer than anticipated. They told us to call back later. Also, we were told we could return any overage when we were done with our job. We had done so for a previous job. When my husband went to return the overage tile, the salesperson was very rude with my husband. He said it had to be a full box (which was not how it was before) and they wouldn't refund our money. Every time my husband goes in there, they are very arrogant, impatient and have no manners. We will not be returning there. Floor and Decor in Alexandria is much better for selection and customer service. Home Depot took back our returns no problem.
