I honestly don’t understand how this place has any good reviews. My husband and I are first time homebuyers in our 20s that need a bathroom remodeled and reached out to Cavalier Kitchens and Baths by a recommendation by others. When entering the showroom, they seemed almost surprised we were there even though we had an appointment that we scheduled the week prior. The designer was not prepared for the appointment and the first thing she asked was if we had our own contractor. The only reason we were reaching out to a business to help with the remodel was because we wanted our shower moved and needed a contractor, which I told the designer on the phone when I scheduled the appointment. The designer proceeded to look at the pictures of our current bathroom I had emailed and quoted us $25,000-$35,000 for a small bathroom remodel. That was without even asking us what we wanted to get done, meaning design wise. My husband and I were expecting a quote for $10,000, maybe $15,000 since the shower needed to be moved. $25,000-$35,000 is actually insane. She told us that she would only do a small part like maybe helping with the vanity and/or toilet but most people get that at Home Depot or Lowe’s anyways. She never even tried to provide us with a contractor that they said they use and recommend, so I told her that we would be reaching out to someone else for a quote. I’m not sure if she sees two young adults and thinks it’s an easy way to take advantage of someone, but I don’t understand how this place is in business. They don’t provide the information for contractors, they tell us that it will be cheaper to find someone who knows how to do labor and do some labor ourselves, and then you tell us that most people get their design supplies from Home Depot and Lowe’s. Honestly what does this place do?

I have been working with Liz Henkel for many years now and as an architect, I love that I can trust her to help my/our clients develop the best kitchen and/or bath designs. She is a fantastic communicator -- over email, phone and in-person and an absolute professional -- guiding clients through the showroom. I recommend her to all my clients for kitchen and bath design.

Do not use this kitchen and bath store. They DO NOT have compassion for people who have been burned by other Virginia contractors. Ordered a sink and my house contractor broke the contract and although I never had the sink in my possession I was charged a 25% restocking fee. Talk about unfair. The restocking fee was not mentioned at the time of purchase. So upset. Would NOT recommend these people AT ALL!

Once upon a time I was a Designer for CKB. During my year of employment, I absolutely cherished my position. Working with the people who own the business every day was a blessing to me. Unfortunately however, I believe the coronavirus changed a little the way people talk to other people (basically, some people let fear get in their way) and I could not continue accepting ridicule & belittlement. So, there are some absolutely amazing people who work for Cavalier: Laura, Liz, Randy, Shelly, Yolanda, Tommy, Eric(2) and I have learned many extremely important life lessons from each person in that building. If I were remodeling a kitchen or bath (& wasn't already able to do so for myself), I would definitely go to CKB for the entire project. I would get with Liz or Randy (designers) or with Eric Prat (Op manager) because the information that is stored in their heads is impeccable. However, if you are not satisfied with the price SAY SO and believe it or not, they will make a deal. One last message to those considering CKB - don't forget about the little people who are out to help their customers with any budget. Take care,

I have been very impressed by the way the staff goes above and beyond to make sure your needs are met. I have had the privilege to not only meet one of the owners, Scott, but he was kind enough to accommodate me simply because I had drive out of my way to visit their store. He is very knowledgeable and went out of his way to help me. This is the way a great business is run! Thank you Cavalier Kithchen and Baths!

We worked with Elizabeth Henkel at Cavalier Kitchens & Baths and she was so helpful and so professional that we would recommend that you request her specifically. Elizabeth first helped us design our kitchen, and then walked us all the way through the process until our remodel was complete. Although she is extremely busy, there wasn't a time that she didn't answer our calls or emails immediately - or soon thereafter. Cavalier has an extensive selection of cabinetry, countertops and fixtures - and Elizabeth was knowledgeable about it all. There wasn't a question she couldn't answer about any of her products. An additional benefit of working with Elizabeth is her community knowledge - best places to find flooring, best places to find appliances, who to work with, etc. Cavalier Kitchens & Baths is a first rate operation and Elizabeth Henkel is the one you want to see! Salesman not friendly. Almost rude. Couldn't help with any questions. I was interested in laminate countertops. Not granite or quartz. It was downhill from there. Before I left I said I'd consider quartz. He got friendly as I was leaving. I won't go back.

My experience with Cavalier was absolutely awesome!! The staff was very friendly, professional and went above and beyond. So much so, that we plan to remodel our bathrooms next and will undoubtedly have Cavalier do them. Cavalier received ROCK STAR status in my book!! Two thumbs up!!
