Had two separate issues over the last few months where Blanchard Oil really stepped up ane provided an extraordinary customer experience.

First time was our oil furnace was not turning on during negative zero temps. I called Blanchard Oil and they had someone at my house within an hour, repaired and serviced my furnace and they sent a very reasonable invoice. Great value for what they invoiced us, especially for coming so quickly on a day I am sure they were busy with other furnace emergencies on that freezing day.

Second time I called them was for a recent water leak in my basement. Again, they dispatched someone very quickly to our house and again they had the parts with them to quickly repair this issue. After the repair, I received another reasonably priced invoice, at a great value for the excellent and quick service we received.

Highly recommend for any residential plumbing and heating needs. I appreciate their excellent service at moments when they are needed the most!

Incompetent installation, permanently damaged our home doing an extremely simple gas line upgrade which they did not fix or pay for.
After buying gas and fuel and paying on time for 1 year they left our propane tank run out, without apology, they refilled the tank at twice the cost of another local company’s rates. When I questioned they offered no solution and told me they didn’t need my business. After refilling they did not perform a pressure test on the system as required by state law.
After being on automatic delivery of fuel oil for over a year also they are letting our fuel oil tank run empty in the middle of the winter. The only call we’re making is to find a new supplier other than Blanchards.
Sadly they bought our local family run business but it’s obvious they don’t share the same customer service ideals...don’t waste your time here there’s 10 other competent fuel suppliers to use.

Not happy or pleased with this business. We have been customers for over 4 years. Ever since day one when we bought our house, we could smell exhaust when the furnace ran. Not one technician (and we had many) could figure out what the smell was from even though they said it wasn’t normal. No carbon dioxide was reading and the carbon monoxide detectors weren’t going off. They said it was a throw away model. We have had this unit serviced by them numerous times. In December 2018, we had called them 4 times within 3 days (all after hours) it was trial and error trying to figure out why it wasn’t running. One technician replaced multiple items and the next morning we still had trouble. After all that the one technician said it was ice in the tank with kerosene which was from them. Hmmm but they replaced many parts. Almost one month later we had another issue where the cad cell melted. The guy put down 2.5 hours and he wasn’t even here 45 min. I know they tack on travel time but really?! Four days later it happened again so we called someone else. The minute this guy from another business walked in, he knew something wasn’t right due to the exhaust smell. He tore it apart and it had a crack in the heat exchanger. Go figure! Not one technician(other than the guy who replaced the cad cell, whom suggested we have it tested for a draft, but couldn’t do it cause he didn’t have the right equipment with him) ever thought of this or had ever torn it apart to check in over 4 years. I still owe a bill to Blanchard Oil and it frustrates me cause all that work for nothing. I had to buy a new furnace and now no more smell. We could have saved thousands of dollars in 4 years if they would have figured this out from day one. Will never use them again. Lady on the phone was becoming very defensive and short when I was venting to her about the most recent bills.

This outfit has worked for us several times. There were no serious issues with them until this last time. The owner and manager became angry and indignant because we had the audacity to complain when we knew we had been mistreated when we were charged for several hours of labor when they were only here working for a fraction of the time. This has nothing to do with travel time either. We understand about that. We’re talking about several hundred dollars extra tacked on to the bill for whatever reasons which they refused to discuss. One plumber that I had never seen before and had no idea what was going to be done inside the house was totally unprepared and didn’t have the right tools. He refused to use my air compressor when he had not brought one and instead borrowed one which added at least $75 more because of wasted time and the owner of the compressor sitting in our driveway waiting for it.
After a lot of condescending arguments, they finally adjusted the bill by about $300. I made out the check for more than they had asked. I took the check into their office and attempted to be conciliatory. The manager refused to let me in to his office and scolded me at the entrance to Blanchard’s business and berated me saying they didn’t want to do business with me any more. All because we refused to accept a bogus bill which they refused to be questioned about. I was never treated more disrespectfully in a place of business. They have seen the last of us.
