This was our year to re-do our house's roof and it is a hard decision choosing the right company. We met Mr Kevin Bannister at our home and he was explaining the process of how they do it. He said that he had a crew that works incredibly hard, for almost 10 hours a day, that they will not use an ugly container to drop the old stuff, that they use this net that catches everything and that it was all going to be gone the first day. That they will be done in 3-4 days (I have a 4 bedrooms home) and that it was going to be done with the best materials out there so it lasts not 20 but 30 plus years.
Too good to be true was my thought though I knew he had a great reputation in the area for his work. I went for it thinking, it will probably take the week, but I know it will be done correctly.
WELL, one day to remove the old stuff, one and a half day to install the new, clean up and they where out of here.
2.5 days. Amazing work. Clean and as quiet as you can get for installing a roof :) Happy Happy.

From first contact, estimate, follow-up , work, cleanup , timeliness. Truly a company that gives you their word and stands behind it. Family owned and operated, when we spoke with the owners you could tell how proud they were of their business. I would very highly recommend. They all went above and beyond to do an excellent job on the roof of this house. Thanks to the whole crew at Bannister for a job well done.

What a horrible experience. There's no communication between the sales staff and the project manager. The owner, Kevin Bannister is also extremely rude. My condo complex was having the roof replaced and gave owners with skylights the option to have Kevin Bannister's company replace our skylights. We had to pay for our skylight and installation in advance and sign separate customer contracts. I worked out an arrangement with Bernie, a member of the sales staff, that on the day of the skylight installation I can get my son, who is on the autism spectrum, out of the unit and into a hotel. I had taken the day off of work to clean up after and install a custom shade on the skylight that was not included in the installation. On Tuesday 6/25, I was told my skylight would be replaced on Thursday 6/27. There had been no weather issues, so I was surprised to see that on the day of the coordinated installation of my skylight, they were not changing it out, nor even working on my side of the roof. I inquired with Bernie who informed me that Kevin was on his way. Upon Kevin's arrival, I spoke with him and found him to be extremely impolite, disrespectful, and inconsiderate. I told him about my son's condition, he cut me off and said "everybody has their own problems". As he continued to speak rudely and inappropriately to me, and knowing that he was already paid in full and was able to further delay my project, I lowered my head, turned around, and walked away.
The skylight was replaced the next day, costing me another day of work and another night at a hotel. Scotty, the project manager, explained to me that he had no idea about my special circumstances and that he would have made arrangements only if Bernie had explained my situation to him. I'm not sure, if that would have been true or not. One thing I do know is that Kevin should not be talking to his customers in that manner. I am going to recommend at our next board meeting that we do not hire Bannister Custom Exteriors to do the work on any of our other seven buildings.

I hired Bannister Custom Exteriors, owned and operated by Kevin and Ryan Bannister, to install a Drexel Metal roof in 2020. I paid them thousands of dollars extra to make sure that the work was completed in such a way that a Drexel Metal 25 year warranty was applied to my roof. During the installation Bannister scratched 4 panels and left flashing incomplete. One area runs most of the length and width of the panel. Drexel Metal came to my house to inspect the damage. They concluded that because Bannister compromised the integrity of the panels during installation they are now no longer under the Drexel Metal warranty. There is also gapping around my chimney flashing and when it rains water leaks into my house. To this day Bannister has not addressed the panels they damaged or the flashing. I could write pages on how this company has been DISHONEST and DISRESPECTFUL but this experience has depleted my energy to say the very least. This has by far been the WORST customer service experience I have ever had the DISPLEASURE of enduring. My advice to you, do not hire this company. If you absolutely must, hire a 3rd party to inspect their work and DO NOT give them any money outside of the deposit until the work is 100% complete and to your satisfaction. It has been my experience that they will not honor their 2 year craftsmanship warranty.

The folks at Bannister Roofing did a masterful job replacing our shingle roof with a custom standing-seam metal roof. The hip roof combined with dormers and overhangs was complicated, and a different roofing company told me that the metal roof would be impossible. Bannister figured it out; the work was done efficiently and clean-up was complete. Best of all, no surprises. We are pleased with the job and heartily recommend Bannister Roofing.

In August we had the roof of our house replaced by Bannister and we are very happy that we chose them for the project. The crew was very efficient, protected the house when removing the old roof, worked swiftly yet safely, and was always respectful of the landscaping. Kevin and / or Brian Bannister stopped by every day of the project to ensure that the work was commencing well and they were finished within four days. We highly recommend Bannister.

It's been a year since Bannister Custom Exteriors replaced our roof, a good time to write a review.
First of all, our "new" roof has withstood a complete four-season cycle and is doing quite well so far, no leak, no problem.
Last June, when we tried to get a roofing contractor, Bannister Custom Exteriors stood out, because,
The company is a preferred and top credential contractor for both Certainteed and Owens Corning, the two shingle brands we opted for a new roof.
The company provided a solid warranty.
The company has a long history in roofing business.
The company responded quickly. The company's president, Kevin Bannister, promptly came for the quote assessment.
The company offered a very reasonable price, impressively accurate to cent. No hidden fee and post-project charge.
The company's crew on our roofing project was experienced and hard-working. They got the job done swiftly within the agreed time frame. They wrapped up the house for protection first, and cleaned up all debris afterwards. They also brought in their own portable toilets for the project. Very neat.
Kevin Bannister's slogan was “If you're happy, I'm happy”. Yes, we are very happy with Bannister Custom Exteriors. Highly recommend.

We knew last year that we were due to replace our roof. Thinking that we "maybe had one more year" before having to do this...our roof sprung a pretty good leak. Called a good friend who does siding and roofs, but wasn't going to be able to help us for months. He recommended Banister Custom Exteriors. I asked my friend to give us an estimate to have a comparison which he did. We contacted two companies to get estimates. We got a call the same day from Bannister's and they were at the house the next day with an estimate. The other company took a couple of days before we heard from them. Bannister's estimate was $1000. under my friend's estimate and $6,000. under the other company. Bannister's crew of 7 men and women were amazing. 2800sf of removing and replacing our roof was done in 8 hours. They were friendly, professional and did an amazing job on our roof and clean up. Highly recommend. Thank you Kevin Bannister.
