Russ fully deserves all of these 5-star reviews. He got us scheduled quickly and completed a very thorough and informative inspection. The septic on this property was difficult to find and I wouldn't have blamed him if he gave up, but he persisted and managed to find everything needed for a full inspection, saving us a lot of headache and excavation work. I have zero complaints and would fully recommend him to new buyers.

I could not have been happier with who I chose to inspect our future home. Russ was highly recommended by a few people I know who recently purchased homes. He did not answer the phone the first time I called on a whim in the middle of the day, but if you listen to his voicemail or read his website he gives very clear instructions on how to proceed. I will be honest, I was weary of this at first. However, I followed his instructions and filled out his inspection request online. The process was easy and seamless. Once this was complete Russ reached out through email to schedule with me. Less than 12 hours before the scheduled inspection the seller of the home requested to cancel and reschedule for legal reasons. I immediately emailed Russ and did not expect an answer is it was already 10PM. I called him the next morning to verify he had seen my email and was not going to a home that he unable to access. I even expected some sort of fee for short notice cancellation. That was not the case. Russ was so friendly and said he completely understands. A consummate professional. We agreed to reschedule as soon as possible. He waited to hear from me, and when he did he was sure to fit me in his schedule promptly. Within a week both times! Thankfully, he was able to inspect the home the second time around. I had a family member meet him there. He gave some feedback on-site during the course of the inspection and said he would have a report back to me as soon as he could. That same afternoon I received an email with my report linked in it. I followed the link, paid by credit card online and accessed our report. The report was very thorough. It contained photos of all findings (including thermal scans for heat loss & sewer scope inspection) with explanations in full detail. It also included a condensed summary. Hiring Russ made my wife and I feel much more secure in purchasing the property we were looking at as first time home buyers. I have never met Russ but I would recommend him without hesitation to anybody looking to hire a home inspector. Thank you again!

Russ let me tag along throughout the inspection, given that I was quiet so he could focus, and gave incredibly detailed explanations of everything he found when he was finished. During the detailed breakdown at the end he encouraged us to ask any questions and gave thoughtful, clear answers. He even gave us advice regarding what we should work on first! We intend, after a couple of years working on property improvements, to hire Russ to see how we are doing and give us any additional advice he has at that point.
