Not cool when businesses don't update their hours online! Thanks a lot! Screwed up my whole schedule and eats into both my time and budget!

Our entire neighborhood is cutting ties with this company. While we do live on a dirt road with a hill, that once in a while could be challenging for the truck, we have been told countless times when the road is dry & in great condition that they cannot serve us because of the weather. Some service agents over the phone have been understanding, but others have argued with us. Their own driver’s photo evidence doesn’t match our street. We’ve gone weeks without service for no reason. If you’re short handed say that and be honest. They tell us that they will send out the truck the next day, when they full well know they will not. They tell us they will refund us for the weeks we didn’t get service or that they will take the overflow the next week and they don’t do either. Leaving trash on the roadside attracts animals and creates an unsafe environment for them. Entirely unreliable, dishonest & rude. Very poor communication and leadership within the company.

June 2023 I've had to call Casella 4 times to get my trash picked up and my trash is still at the curb. There is no explanation for why they missed the pickup and no follow up from the call center agents. I'm a forgiving and understanding person but after having to call them 4 times, I have now lost my patience and understanding. It would have gone a long way had they apologized and showed up when they said they were going to show up. July 2023 I'm editing my original poor review because Carolyn called me and frankly explained the challenges that the business is having. I do so appreciate her being forthright with me and for apologizing. I'm confident that they will address these issues in the future!

Constantly missing pick ups. Have to call for it saying you've missed so many weeks and the customer service saying well it's marked we picked up. I offer to take pictures showing that isn't true. They'll finally pick up then go back to skipping. I'll call again and they say they'll be coming the next day and then not come. I'm just a renter in an apt building so I don't have control over who we use. However, if I owned a home I would never hire this company. As it is I'm letting my landlord know because she shouldn't pay them for weekly pick up when they don't actually pick up weekly.

We have used Casella for years for regular trash and recycling pick up, and have been fairly happy with the pick up service itself but I must say the customer service is awful. When we moved just a couple towns over, we wanted to transfer our service and I had to call multiple times and talk to multiple people to accomplish this simple task. More recently, I called to inquire about appliance removal. The girl on the phone said she had to send an email to find out if it was possible and she would call back when she got a response. I gave it a couple weeks and didn't hear back so I called. Someone put in our file that they called and left a voicemail the next day, which I am certain is untrue. I don't get many voicemail these days, and when I do I don't ignore them. It's possible they called because I have a missed call from that day (but Google search on the number did not return Casella, so I'm skeptical). I think there is room for improvement here.
