I had the unfortunate event of having gas shut off to numerous units in the middle of a VT winter. Cooper Mechanical was on-site within two hours where other contractors were quoting a month out. They were able to resolve all primary issues, provided the required pressure test forms allowing me to have the gas turned back on within 24 hours. All further issues were then resolved within two business days.
Their prices are competitive, and they also offered a very generous discount. I'd highly recommend their services, and will gladly look to them again for maintenance, installs or repairs.
These folks were great! My hot water boiler was red tagged on a Friday morning and deemed not safe to use by Vermont Gas. I called a bunch of places but ended up getting the best service with Cooper. We were able to do an estimate for a new heating system over the phone that day, and they came and started installing a new Well-Mclain boiler on Monday. They did a good job keeping me in the loop and pricing seemed fair as any. The install went well and they replaced the zone valves as well.

Cole from A. Cooper came out to investigate a problem with my heat pump and to gather the information needed for an estimate on a washer hookup. My heat pump problem turned out to be a real head-scratcher, and he stuck with it and investigated every possibility he could find before giving me clear and useful advice on what I could do to go forward--all of this regardless of whether it was generating any billable work. In the end, I was charged nothing for all of this effort, because it was all part of the initial evaluation. (Disclaimer: I have no idea what this does and doesn't apply to, so I don't want to suggest that any particular services are free.) He was friendly and knowledgeable, and I expect I will always be calling A. Cooper first whenever I have work in their line in future. (They'll also be installing my washer hookup soon.)

I called on a tuesday around noon for a drip in a water pipe. They scheduled the next morning @9am. (tremendous!!!) I got delayed, gave them a call, got it bumped to 10am no problem. Got home, the guys were there waiting on me. Had the issue fixed in like 15 minutes. What wonderful service. Right from the person taking the call and rescheduling it (heidi) to the 2 techs that corrected the problem. I now have a new number under the "plumber" tab in my phone. Great stuff!!

Great company, has been a reliable options for us as our old home has needed several improvements.
Had a leak in our kitchen sink and needed the main water line valve replaced, and they were able to come right away. Also replaced our water tank/boiler, and they were really timely and helpful throughout that process. New system is working great! Definitely going to continue being a repeat customer.

I had a very good experience with A Cooper Mechanical. My boiler was out for three days before I could get my regular plumber to come take a look. The diagnosis was bad, I needed a new boiler and they weren't available to install one for 6 to 8 weeks. Ack! This was on a chilly Friday afternoon, they gave me a list of plumbers to call. No-one answered.
Enter A. Cooper Mechanical. They were the first, and I think only, operation that had a person to answer my call and talk me through the right choice for installing a new boiler. They also let me know that their team could get in early in the week and get our heat and hot water back on. They gave me a competitive price on a quality boiler and even ended up coming in under estimate.
Even though this was a large expense that I wasn't expecting, I don't have to worry about boiler issues anymore and I'm so happy that I chose A Cooper to do the work!

I worked with Cole Mugford to set up getting a water softener and filtration system at my house. He was awesome to work with and so was the tech Euro who they sent out. They ended up having to rework my pipes and made it much more simple to use than it was before. I’ve worked with them in a commercial capacity and their top quality service carries over into their residential service as well!

Very impressed with this company. My hot water tank had died after 30 years. I made several phone calls to find someone to fix it and was referred to A. Cooper. I was called at 7:15 in the morning and had a plumber at my door by 8:00. Roger was extremely courteous and friendly. He was also a true professional master plumber. He diagnosed the issue and within an hour I had a quote and by 11:00 had Roger and Tyler here to replace the hot water tank. Their work was excellent. They took extreme care to keep my basement clean and damage free. A second problem was discovered and even though was well into the afternoon, a replacement part was brought over and replaced. Roger didn't leave till around 6:00 PM and only when he was absolutely sure everything was working correctly and that I was satisfied. This is what I call excellent service. I will be utilizing them again in the near future for some work at my business.

We had an issue where our tub was leaking to a lower floor in the house. A Cooper was able to respond the next day. The service technician was very knowledgeable and helpful. We had initially called some other plumbers, but they were booked out for weeks. A Cooper got us back up and running in no time. They will definitely be our go-to from now on!
