Top of the line craftsmanship if you can stand the dark void of communication I “inherited” Architectural Cabinets with the House I bought; I needed them to replace 2 of the existing cabinets — a tricky job requiring exact measurements. Also, I added several built-ins in an adjacent dining room. The finished result exceeds all my expectations. The craftsmanship of top of the line cabinets with every custom feature cannot be praised too highly. The cabinets fit to 1/100th of an inch and the color match is perfect. My installer was a true professional with a can-do problem-solving mindset. He was creative in dealing with every challenge (electric sockets in the way; walls out of true.) After the job was done, a neighbor who’d seen the property built 11 years ago commented: “It looks as if those cabinets have always been there!” So what’s not to like? As other reviewers have noted communication as to the progress of your job is zero — I experienced less than zero. Emails went unanswered and were mysteriously “lost”; when resent, they were not acknowledged. In the event, the job was done exactly as specified. So why won’t AC fix their communication?

This company strung me along for weeks after taking measurements. After numerous emails and calls Dick told me he doesn't have time to finish the project. This resulted in weeks of delays and time wasted working with Architectural Cabinets. Terrible experience.

I'm not sure what's up, but the communication with this company is unacceptable. We had reached out to AC to come by and see the space and take measurements, and then... Nothing! I've tried to contact the company 8+ times in 4 weeks, both by email and phone. Owner is mysteriously never available and never returns calls. I really wanted to go with AC; the pricing was very competitive, but it seems like for whatever reason they don't want my business so I'm going to start looking elsewhere.

They came out and were wonderful to discuss my needs and work with me to come up with a very efficient design that was what I wanted. The cabinet hardware is so sturdy, and the cabinets are smooth and beautifully finished. They allowed me to make suggestions and drawings and work out details with them. Nice people too.
