Cruz construction and Renovation LLC has been a breath of fresh air to work with. We contacted a number of contractors to do a complete remodel of our kitchen before ultimately deciding to go with Jose and his crew. This was one of the best decisions we have ever made! From the very first interaction with Jose, he has gone above and beyond, well exceeding our expectations throughout the entire process. Jose stayed true to form ensuring he would not sub contract this job to others. Unlike previous experiences with other contractors, Jose personally worked on our kitchen from day one. He kept his crew small and efficient. Our biggest concern with any contractor was communication. Jose consistently provided us with updates through the kitchen remodel. Nothing was done without first communicating with us. As far as the design on the kitchen, Jose was encouraging and mirrored our enthusiasm. He gave us great suggestions when we weren’t sure about design aspects. He never pushed his own agenda, but rather wanted to make our vision of our kitchen come to life. He provided sound suggestions along the way. Lastly, Jose and his crew exemplified professionalism and excellent craftsmanship. They were punctual, on time, and always cleaned up at the end of the day. Their attention to detail is what really set them apart. During installation of our backsplash, if a tile was slightly off, Jose would not stop until it’s precisely aligned or he would simply redo a section of the kitchen until it was perfect. If you are on the fence or unsure about which contractor to hire for your home improvement, I urge to contact Jose and Cruz Construction. We will be hiring Jose again for our guest bathroom in the near future. You will thank me later.

I cannot give enough praise to Jose and his team at Cruz construction. I reached out to him in late August to get a bid for a full bathroom remodel. He responded quickly and was out to give us an estimate within a few days. I was amazed at not only his professionalism, but how easy he was to talk to about the project. He listened to my ideas, and presented a beautiful design. From the time we agreed to the project, he was in continual communication with us. We were able to fully start the remodel in January, but even before then, he assisted us with picking out materials, helping us choose items from from different vendors, and working out details that we had thought of. Unlike other contractors, very small details matter to him. He is attentive to the most minor inaccuracies, and will go back and correct them until he and I are both happy. In the past, we’ve had difficulties not having a project manager onsite. Not the case with Cruz Construction. Jose was here almost daily (M-F), unless he was picking up materials, which was always communicated to us. We also appreciated the additional security provided by having a lock box for the key to our house. He didn’t even seem to be bothered by our dogs, who were kenneled, but can be very vocal. Jose gave us a dream bathroom, down to the detailing on the shampoo shelves. I would totally work with him again on future projects, and will be doing so for my daughter’s bathroom in the near future.

TL;DR: Hire Cruz Construction and Renovation This project has been in the works for over a year. We initially asked Jose to come out and estimate a much more expansive remodel for a master and guest bathroom. This would've been our first remodel as homeowners, and we were looking for rough numbers that we could start setting budgets to. Jose was very detailed, methodical, and offered a number of ways for us to conserve budget, while still getting the space we wanted. A year later, and with expectations properly set, our guest bathroom still needed a lot of work. With young son and one on the way, we needed a tub to replace the shower as no bathroom in the house has a tub. Jose took our designer's plans and we worked with him to make it executable. We were responsible for buying all finish materials and had them ready for him on just about day one. His crew set out flooring protection and wall protection to keep as much dust contained as possible. Jose and his team, who were fantastic, accommodated our desire to remove and blow back in nearly new insulation in our attic to raise the ceilings to match the rest of the house. They laid large format tile on the floor and executed a ¼ offset tub surround tile, while adding beautiful vertical blue tile behind a floating vanity. Tile really was the standout part of this project and Jose nailed it with flush, flat, surfaces on three different tiles. The shower niche is a lowkey highlight as the way Jose was able to cut the tile reduced grout lines and he even set the shelves at a slight angle to let water drip out. The project turned out amazing, and Jose's attention to detail was great; he hit is completiondate to the day. I expected to have a long punch list as I'm quite detail oriented myself, but it was surprisingly short with all the finishing touches, sealants, straight paint lines, and care with the finish materials. I would 100% work with Jose again and look forward to our next project together.

Jose and team did a phenomenal job on 2 large projects for us: a complete shower tear down / renovation and repairing of our hardwood floors in a room which had buckled ~2 feet high and split due to water damage. Jose worked with us to customize the shower layout. He was also able to salvage much of the damaged floor and re-use it which we greatly appreciated as a close match would likely not be possible. Billing was itemized and clear and aligned very well with initial quotes. His crew were extremely professional with high attention to detail and cleaned up spotlessly when their work was done. I have recommended Cruz Construction to my friends in the area and I will definitely be using them again for any future projects.

We hired Jose & team after deciding to stay in our home a bit longer. In order to do so we wanted to expand our home to the outdoors with a significant deck. We interviewed about 6 different contractors and decided to go with Jose, and WOW, he did NOT disappoint. He worked with us every step of the way trying to figure out the best options to stay within our budget. He customized (and built) everything from the railings, stairs, privacy wall and the roof. We will use him going forward for every project that we have, no doubt. If you are looking for someone creative and reliable, Jose and team are the right team for you!
