I cant say enough about this business. From the time of the estimate until the completion of the install, everything was great. Tim was easy to speak with during the estimate. He made recommendations based on the number of cameras being installed. The estimate was received within just a couple days. They were very reasonable on their prices. We had purchased our own cameras and had them install them. Josh and Nate were great at explaining everything and made recommendations that worked better than what we had planned. They made sure all the cameras were adjusted correctly and everything was operational before they left. The office staff was great as well, I just wish I could remember her name. They were easy to talk to and had a positive way of communicating.

We had Jeff and crew from Certified install blinds and automatic Lights. We absolutely love them. The blinds are gorgeous and close and open automatically with the lights. It’s a nice extra that we quickly became accustomed too. The system is easy to adjust to individual likes. Would highly recommend. Thanks Certified - you told us we would love them and we do!

I bought my fire alarm system eight years ago from another company which was ultimately bought out by Certified Security. When I had a problem with a device, the original company came to my house free of charge. Since this company took over, I have had two of my smoke alarms have problems (probably low batteries which cannot be replaced by me.) In order to have the problem resolved, I have to pay a house call charge of $300 for the travel distance of 200 miles round trip. (Maybe more by now since that was the amount quoted to me about 1 1/2 years ago.) I know gas is expensive, but I just went on a 450 mile trip and it cost me about $85 in gas. In my opinion, that’s highway robbery, literally! I even asked if I could bring the alarm to them when I came to Spokane, but they have to be at my house to calibrate it. Really? To replace a battery? As far as the monitoring service goes, it’s been okay up until a couple of months ago when my second alarm went bad and set off the entire system. I cancelled the alarm three or four times but the battery’s chirping kept setting the alarm off over and over. No one called to see if there was a real problem. I finally called them for help. Their response was that the problem had come through just 30 seconds before I called them. I’d been dealing with the problem for 10-15 minutes by that time. I told the guy what was happening and there wasn’t actually a fire. A lot of good that did. About three minutes after hanging up with them, a fire truck pulled up outside my house, followed by a police car. Oh brother! And this was all happening while trying to get to church on time! So my opinion of this company is not great.

They may be ok at security but they won’t let you out of your contract if you go slightly over the date. My dad is 98 and a WWII veteran. He wanted to go to a cell phone, so we put him on our plan and got rid of the land line not knowing that screwed up the security system. When we realized this he was already past (barely) the renewal date and they wouldn’t let us out of the contract. So we either had to put a land line back in and pay more or just continue to pay the monthly fee of the security system and not have a security system. Also the carbon monoxide detector quit and you have to pay an arm and a leg to have someone install it. Now it beeps all the time and no way to stop that because we just bought our own carbon monoxide detector. Not happy!

Certified Security has been a wonderful company to use and we feel confident that our building is safe. Quick responses and great customer service as well! Kate was especially lovely when we had a billing issue, she went above and beyond our expectations and made us a very happy customer.
