If I could leave more than five stars for the service offered by American Overhead Door, I would! The spring on my old door broke and I was stuck with an inoperative door and my car in the garage. Cindy took my call with extreme kindness and efficiency and she assured me the problem would be resolved the same day. To my surprise, Jared arrived at the beginning of his route, addressed the problem and corrected other problems that I was unaware of. I have previously used AOD for the installation of a garage door opener and I am happy to say that the service offered for both of the visits was excellent. Highly recommend!!
In April of 2023 I had American Overhead Door replace the springs and torsion cables on my garage door. 15 months later, I had to call a different company to fix the sprung door. The wrong springs were installed, and to compensate the technician wound the springs too tightly.
Within two hours of calling a competitor, I had a technician at the house and the correct springs were installed with proper tension. WI Garage Door provided the service expeditiously, professionally, and provided a guarantee that American Overhead would not. Then, there is the matter of cost comparison; American Overhead charged $200 more for the same job and parts.
It seems customer satisfaction and quality work are NOT a priority for American Overhead. You lost this customer!

A member of my family accidentally ran into our garage door while backing up and bent the door, preventing it from opening and closing. We called AOD and they immediately sent someone to take a look within a few hours. They were fully transparent with their assessment of the damage, possible timeframe and cost. Luckily, the piece that needed replacing was in stock. They were able to send someone the very next day to quickly do the repair. They also noticed a previously missed issue with a bracket and were able to replace that on the spot. We are very happy with our AOD experience!

Update: I centered the chain guide bar, which was 3 inches off. I also reprogrammed the opener so it would close at the right spot. I decided to do it myself because I have a tight schedule. I do appreciate the response from the Manager.
We had a opener installed in October 2019, right before we moved in. No one explained anything about how to lubricate or take care of it to anyone...when I got home from work, I was not impressed with the installation as the chain was never adjusted and is very loose. The chain guide/bar is far from the center of the door. The opener is supposed to be top of the line, but is very very noisy..the other opener on the other garage door is 20+ years old and is much quieter. Also, they didn't install any light bulbs, because "they don't come with the opener." I am not impressed. I could have done a better installation job, if I had the time. Now, 2 years later, looks like I'll just do the readjustments myself and see if that might help with the loudness of the opener. Its hard to find good workers and decent service now days. I'm just tired of poor workmanship and wasting my time contacting businesses to correct poor quality installations. If you want it done right, you just need to do it yourself or if you see a review of good work done by a named installer, specifically request that installer. Don't just settle for the first opening available.
