DC Interiors & Renovations Reviews

Overall

In 2018, DC Interiors and Renovations remodeled additional parts of my house after a 2016 remodel, including the staircase, a hall bath, the second-floor carpeting and all new door hardware. The designer and project manager was Renee Degelau with computer drawings by Alana Barrera. The designs were truly beautiful, and the chosen materials were of very high quality. The superior craftsmanship of the trades made for perfect results, and my remodel turned out even better than I had anticipated. DC Interiors needed to address the particular challenges of my home, such as designing a two-story staircase for a relatively small entry area, making sure that there were no overdone balusters and newel posts that would overwhelm the close space. Similarly, my small hall bathroom needed to appear spacious while including a large toilet, tub, and cabinet. The results are beautiful, and I am thoroughly enjoying my remodeled home.

We hired DC Interiors to completely remodel the main floor of our recently purchased, built in the 1940s home, including the kitchen and bathroom. Deb and Alana transformed what originally was an unattractive mash-up of different styles and undone work into a well-designed and beautiful space with an inviting flow throughout. Deb and Alana helped us conceptualize how we wanted each room to look and assisted us in choosing the right materials to achieve that look. The subcontractors Deb brought to the job all proved to be experts. Best of all everyone was friendly and accommodating. Deb would say “We don’t do ugly” when my husband and I needed reassurance about certain design elements or how a room was going to look once it was done. She was right! Our house is beautiful - and far more livable than we thought it could be. Whenever I walk through the front door, I feel the space welcoming me home.

I recently had the pleasure of working with DC Interiors on the main floor renovation to our home.
Deb and her staff did an outstanding job bringing to us a design that incorporated all our requests for a unique/usable family space.
They provided excellent advice in all areas of the design, including all the finishes. Her attention to the small details was superb. She worked closely with her contractors which resulted in finishing details that make our home feel special.
Deb is a talented designer and it was a pleasure working with her and Alana. I can recommend her without hesitation.

When you think your project or your small home or condo is not worthy of having a quality interior decorator/designer help you, DC Interiors is there for you. They will come, consult, listen, ask questions and not leave until you are satisfied. Great planners, good attention to detail, good at estimating & scheduling various skilled craftsmen. We were very happy with the outcome. Their subcontractors are reliable and equally conscientious. D.C. Interiors did a kitchen remodel for us. If we had more work, they'd certainly get the job.

Based upon the work that this design firm had done for a friend of mine - I chose them for my condo renovation. We reviewed what I wanted done, budget, time frame, etc. Deb Corning is both designer & general contractor which made the entire process go very smoothly. I updated entire kitchen, both bathrooms & purchased new furniture, rugs, art work for the living room. Deb & Alana have a keen eye for design, color & texture & were able to advise me & make me go out of the box a bit to end up with a very beautiful renovation done on budget & time. I highly recommend.
