Overall

Well Jim came back to fix some of the boards but said he was too busy to put the right boards up. Now three weeks before he told me he would make the fence right but has not. Now when he came this past June 10Th he said he will be back in three weeks.
Now I will bet I will never here back from him
I still have around $500.00 credit but Jim has no plans to give me that money.
Beware of this guy
All talk no action to make good on a promise.
My wife Deb also made a post.

Amerifence was such a wonderful company to work with. When Nick came out, he walked us through multiple options and helped us feel confident in the choice we made. The fence was put up so much quicker than we anticipated and it looks incredible. This was incredible quality while being significantly more cost effective than any other company in the area. We are so happy we worked with Amerifence and we LOVE our new fence.

We love our new fence! We had Jim originally quote us last year, but we needed time to think things over. When we contacted him this spring he was helpful and quick to requote based on our new requests. The price was right and Once we confirmed moving forward, Jim called diggers hotline and had our fence up much sooner than we anticipated. The gentlemen who installed the fence (Michael and Dakota) were efficient, kind and professional. We would recommend American Fence Co to anyone!

We had several meetings and several phone messages with Jim. The fence is what we wanted but was installed with wavy boards. We had asked Jim to replace these boards and then asked if we could have more support at the bottom putting up a 2 x 4 at the bottom. He said that he will have the guys have a side job by doing this work. Now I have to say the estimate was 385 feet but was shorten by 20 feet and he said we would call it even. So he did say when the guys could come to put the extra 2x4 for more support but wanted the guys to buy his wood and charge me for it. I then asked what about the extra 20 ft. But he did not anwer me. Well this has gone on since the 4/26 and I still do not have the boards up the the boards that got torn off the fence. I did pay part cash and part check. All he said "was I the cheapist". I should of spent the money and gone with someone else.

I would not recommend American Fence to anyone. They had terrible communication and told us we were going to have the fence attached with screws then used nails.

We got quotes for a 5ft cedar fence with inch gaps from 4 fence places, and asked all of them if they used metal posts and screwed boards on, so we’d get a great fence that lasts. Jim said they did (or we would have skipped him) and had a lower price than the other fence places that used metal posts and screws. We put down a deposit and don’t hear anything for 2 months. Texts and emails took up to a week to get responses through the process. Then Jim showed up out of the blue to ask if they could start building tomorrow (we were waiting on a survey report, so no) So he said he’d come back next week. Next week, got a text at 7:20am that they’d be there in 10 minutes (luckily I woke up early that day!) The crew was great though, and finished the fence in 2 days, however used nails because they claimed screws would take too long and cost too much. I went out and added 2 screws per board in a couple hours for about $50. While doing this, I found about 10 boards that were missing at least one nail. I also found a large number of boards with nails that were overdriven, some driven straight through the board and not attaching them at all. One board had both bottom nails overdriven, so our dog could have pushed his way out. Jim came and walked the whole fence to measure, but missed all this. My dad (carpenter for 30 years) said it was pretty shoddy work and agreed with adding screws to actually secure it. See the pics for examples. I took down their sign on the fence so anyone has to ask me who did it and I can warn them.

Overall, find somewhere else. Neighbors have said it looks really nice (and it does!) but I’ve warned them all to avoid American. Even if you have to pay a bit more, get a fence that will actually last from someone else.
