We had a great experience with AG&L providing the plan and most of the implementation for the landscaping of our new condo this last February. From the planning stages in December to final planting in August, Tim Stenzel and the crew people couldn't have been more knowledgeable, thorough and accommodating, all at a very reasonable cost, as well as impeccable clean up. In view of my own experience and other installations I've seen around town, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them!

Expensive and if anything made our backyard water/drainage issues worse. We understand that's not always an easy problem to solve but the standing water in our yard is as bad as it's ever been (multiple neighbors have mentioned noticing this-completely unprompted). We wouldn't be as disappointed with the lack of help with drainage issues if we feel like the work had been done according to the original plan/agreement, but the "grading" we paid for was barely actually done save for a few piles of dirt that didn't come up nearly high enough to do anything, and the landscaping areas that were also done (mulch, bushes, rain garden, rock bed) don't even look good and we will basically be starting from square 1 ourselves next summer $6000 in the hole. Wish we would've just done the project ourselves as I think we could have done a better job for 1/4 of the cost. They also broke our hose and just left a note about it which we didn't find out about until I went out to water the next day. Waited half the summer for them to be able to come do the project then spent the rest of the summer going back and forth with them about what we were unhappy with, they came back again and did some more lackluster work, and we eventually settled on receiving a very small amount of money back for our troubles/lack of work being completed. Would recommend doing the project yourself if you're considering going with them, I wish we would have.

We've used Avant for landscape design, patio/firepit buildout, and purchase of plants. Their work was so amazing that we are going to have them come back in the fall to completely redo part of our landscaping. Great work, very responsive, very professional- highly recommend!

We used Avant for Landscaping design and installation in our back yard. Specifically we were looking for installation of screening plants and trees. We worked with Tim throughout the whole process and are very happy with how everything went. From design to installation, Tim was very responsive and kind. The work done was quick and professional. We couldn't be happier with how everything went. I love looking out into my backyard now!

They are just off sigglekow, if you drive under the interstate they are hidden on the right. Great place for finding native plants!

Avant did beautiful work on our patio. When they came to clean up the grass areas they drove over, they brought in top quality top soil, not just some cheap clay. I wish we had hired them to do all of our landscaping!

Avant created a beautiful stone patio for us, complete with a dry creek and additional landscaping. Every person I interacted with was friendly, professional, and responsive. They also completed on time - the speed but also attention to detail far exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend them.

Avant came and did our fall clean up just recently. We have several huge areas requiring cutback. They were fast, efficient, neat and professional. My husband and I were both impressed with the fact that everything looks neatly cut back, not hacked off and the work was still done very quickly. A pleasure to work with this firm and the crew they sent to our home. We will continue to use Avant!!

I contracted with Avant early spring of 2019 to install some small berms and rockscaping in my front yard (about 40x12 ft). The planning and installation went well even though it was a rainy season and the installation got delayed until November 2019. This spring after waiting all winter, I was eager to install some plants as the rock work looked great. One thing I didn't anticipate is that previous to their work I had a layer of black plastic down to kill weeds (plastic had been in place at least 20 months). Even though there were some holes in the plastic the soil was now microbe and invertebrate poor because of the solarization. I reached out to Avant to consult and Becky has been very responsive and helpful in working with me with plans to amend the soil. So even after Avant's project was complete they continue to be supportive and responsive in making sure their customer is satisfied and the garden is healthy. Thanks AVANT!

We have bee working with Avant Gardening for a number of years. The work has been consistently thorough and beautiful. We have been thrilled with the designs, coordination of projects, and beauty of the plants and trees. It's always a pleasure to plan and work with staff. The staff have transformed our home's exterior from boring to magical. Each year we have so pleased with the landscapers who toil make magic happen before our eyes. Always so hardworking, deligent, and polite.

I've been using these folks for a few years now. They do a good job, both with the regular maintenance tasks and larger tasks like spring cleanup and mulch. I genuinely like the people. They are pretty adaptable - they will meet with you and come up with long term plans for your lawn/garden, as well as generally do a good job of targeting the right areas if you're not giving consistent direction.

My front yard was so difficult to manage that a neighbor called it "Jurassic Park." Avant Gardening and Landscape transformed it into a stunning low maintenance area that brings peace and joy not only to me, but to people passing by. I highly recommend Avant G & L.

We are delighted with the outdoor fire pit and water fixture that AvantGardening did for us. The lighting as well creates a fantasy wonderland.
