Midwest Solar installed a system for us in July 2023, and it was a pleasure to work with them throughout the process. Midwest Solar was the most thorough of the three companies that gave us estimates - their visit to our house was the longest and most informative of the three - so it was clear from the get-go that they were really concerned about quality. They also offered the best value of the three companies when comparing the three proposals. Everyone at Midwest Solar was super friendly (to both the humans and dogs in our house), and it was just a great all-around experience. I would enthusiastically recommend them to anyone interested in doing a solar project.
I did extensive research before choosing a solar installer in Madison. I checked with neighbors, online reviews and finally had 4 local installers come out. What impressed me and why I chose Midwest Solar was how thorough the onsite visit was. Of the 4 installers only two went into the attic space. Of those one recommended a garage roof install with wiring going on the outside of the roof. Midwest Solar was able to install through the main roof (best angle for electrical production) and to run all wiring internally through to the main electrical box. Their electricians explained the install and didn't hesitate doing more work to run the wiring through the wall. They also left my utility room cleaner after the install. Midwest Solar also quotes me on the latest enphase modules. Others quotes on a generation of older tech. I am pleased how my system is running and how I can monitor through the enphase portal. The team who did the work arrived at 8am and we're done by about 3pm in the afternoon. All in safety gear and very conscious to clean up and to protect plants on the side of the house where they worked.

We talked to several companies before contracting with Midwest Solar. Some were not transparent about any part of the process. The guys at Midwest were quick to talk through options and get our project going. They were super friendly and knowledgeable and stayed in constant communication with me throughout our whole process. We have had our solar panels for just over a year and have had no issues. We're so pleased to be part of electrifying America with clean energy!

Midwest Solar was phenomenal to deal with!!! They are professional, knowledgeable, great communicators and their customer service is stellar. Our energy bill dropped to $12 the first full month we had solar. We are recommending Midwest Solar to everyone we talk to.

Midwest Solar installed 25 panels in four areas onto our somewhat complicated roof. We are very happy with them. It took them about a day and a half to do the install. Five days (including a weekend) after they finished the installation the system was connected to the grid. The system has been running for about two weeks now with no problems. The whole process from initial visit and estimate to ongoing communications and installation was very smooth. They also handled the interactions with our homeowners association, city permitting and arrangements with our electric company. The project manager and the whole installation crew were great to work with. The electricians made an extra effort to route the conduit through the cramped attic and along the edge of the roof line and corner of the house to minimize the visual impact. We highly recommend them.

We had a wonderful experience with Midwest Solar. We were referred to them by a relative after they interviewed several companies. They were pleasant and polite and absolutely put no pressure on us to make a decision right away. From the first person we met through the installation crew and our project manager, every one of them was professional and friendly and made sure all our questions were answered. We have had our system on for not quite a week yet, so far so good!

We had solar panels installed by Midwest Solar in September of 2021. From our first contact with them to the completion of the project, I was impressed with their service, friendliness and reliability. About 2 months before the installation, we were given a date and time that they would show up to install the panels. Understanding variables in contractor scheduling, I was not expecting them to be on time; yet they showed up promptly at the originally promised time. They handled all the paperwork and coordination with inspectors and our power utility. They helped us get a rebate from Focus on Energy. They handled any unexpected issues without an increase in price. Their team even noticed a potential roof leak around an exhaust pipe (completely unrelated to the installation of the panels) and showed me how to repair it. The solar panels are working wonderfully. This was the best experience I have ever had with any contractor.
