I found out about Engines Service Inc about 6 or 7 years ago when my friends' boat's Kohler generator stopped working. I showed photos of the generator and gave the model/serial numbers, talked with Phil and he let me photograph pages from the service manual, so I could do some testing. WHO WOULD DO THAT??????? I did the tests and it was determined that the voltage regulator was bad. I removed it and brought it to their shop and he knew EXACTLY what it was- even has a test jig for it. Within a few hours, he called with the price for a replacement and after the boat owner found out, it was ordered. The generator was removed from the boat & brought to their shop, it was installed and the final checkout was done at the boat, by Phil. He then offered instructions on operation and making sure it would last many more years (DO NOT start the generator with the loads connected, or add the loads immediately after starting the engine). I'm tired of hearing "I don't know....", experiencing rudeness and getting bad information from people who are supposed to know what they're doing. My experience is how service businesses should be operated and being in a service business myself, I think I have a valid opinion.

I was so excited when I bought my new RV. I grabbed a ride to go pick her up. Sat down in the driver's seat. Turned the key. Nothing. I called a number of other shops in the area, but none could help me out. Enter my savior, Phil. He was able to squeeze me in same day, and within a couple of hours, my RV was purring again! We were able to relocate the rig to the shop, and I will update my review once I'm able to pick it up. Phil is incredibly knowledgeable and explains everything very clearly. Never once did I feel talked down to, which, as a woman, is a rarity when dealing with mechanics (it's sad, but that's the world we live in). I am walking away with a greater knowledge of my rig and confidence that she will run smoothly! Although Phil said that he does not work on the engine, he was able to quickly and accurately diagnose the issues. Luckily mine turned out to be almost entirely centered seeing the generator! Phil is incredible and I highly recommend him for your RV repair needs.

This place is awesome. I was experiencing trouble with my RV generator. I have worked on engines my entire life but my Onan generator had me baffled. I spoke with Phil on the phone and quickly realized that I needed their help. He fixed my generator while I waited, showed me a few tricks and also tweaked the performance under load. I'm relieved to know that I have a great place to go if I have any future needs. Thank you Phil for a job well done!

Phil identified the problem with my RV generator in about 5 minutes, and brought me out to show me the issue and explain the fix. These guys know everything about engines down to the chemistry. Very reasonable prices too. You're wasting your time and money going to hardware or RV stores instead of making this your first stop.
