I recently had Mr. Stalnaker out to a house I was intending on buying, and while he was very nice he did not provide a detailed report. I had a builder follow Mr. Stalnaker to give me a price to fix the house I was looking to buy, and to my dismay the builder said the engineering report was not correct and did not provide the level of stress that certain subjects needed. The dying tree in the front yard had roots pressing against the foundation causing the foundation walls to begin to cave in, Mr. Stalnaker said the tree in the front yard needs to be removed. Mr. Stalnaker named that house structurally sound, and said that the property had a slight leveling problem. This house had a 4 inch slope over 10 feet in 1 section of the house. Mr. Stalnaker got 2 stars simply because of his customer service, but his judgement should not be trusted.

Not happy with the service that we recently received from Mr Stalnaker. We needed the structural report to have two more lines so that the bank underwriters could clear it, and we were told that it would cost another $250 just to send the amended copy. This was on top of the original $450 for the visit! He was also disproportionately rude to our (female) mortgage lender. Would not recommend!
